Objectives:
CME is undergoing significant growth and metamorphosis from a traditional, privately held futures exchange to a publicly-traded, high-tech, global financial company. We wanted to develop a targeted vehicle to inform our members
and shareholders about the continual evolution of our business, keep them abreast of ongoing initiatives, and give them a heads up on new products and programs. In addition, we wanted to showcase our customers, and highlight their use of our products.

The CME 2006 Annual Report is the third in a trilogy of reports. Its cover, "advance," emphasizes that CME is constantly growing and striving to achieve greater success through innovative tools and products. The CME 2006 Annual Report provides updates from CME benchmark products, such as interest rates, equities, currencies and commodities. It also features key customers, from a variety of businesses, who use our products to support their financial goals and hedge their risks.
