BMO’s Fixed Income Currency & Commodities (FICC) Macro Strategy group has a long history of disseminating newsletters and written reports through conventional email. Macro Horizons podcast was launched in 2019 to differentiate and grow awareness in an alternate medium in the debt market, and after much success, Views from the North and Global Exchanges were launched creating a full suite of FICC podcasts. Our hosts lead with relevant insight, delivered with subtle humor and respond directly to listener feedback. Our ratings and testimonials speak for themselves with an almost perfect Apple podcast rating.
2021 performance exceeded our expectations! 500k combined downloads to date are up 86% from 2020. Views from the North and Global Exchanges tripled their subscribers and Macro Horizons doubled subscribers to 2.4k. Unique listeners grew by 60k+ from last year and the FICC podcast webpage accounted for an outstanding 7.1% of visits to the BMO Capital Markets website, peaking at 18.8% from targeted email efforts. Out of 320 episodes, 85% landed in the top 5% of all podcasts. We have 103 Apple podcast ratings averaging 4.96 stars.
