Project Designer software from Biamp changes the way all-important room control interfaces are designed and created. With drag and drop simplicity, the free Biamp Project Designer software does away with the programming required to build most control solution interfaces, while maintaining all the desired functionality. Created to set up and customize the interfaces and operation of Impera controllers and Apprimo touch panels from Biamp, Project Designer includes everything needed to take an audiovisual installation project from start to finish without needing to write a single line of code.
Project Designer software is used by AV integrators and technicians to build entire AV control solutions that previously had required people with a software background and specific programming language certifications to create. Project Designer results in an easier, faster way of working, effectively creating more in-house resources capable of completing projects and a faster project delivery time for customers. The drag-and-drop interface is also designed to allow the end-user’s AV or technology staff to maintain a control system, effortlessly swapping in new equipment for old and further helping make Biamp control systems future-proof.
Because Project Designer is vendor agnostic, AV professionals can design the system they require with the devices they want, whether that equipment includes Biamp products or not. An extensive device driver library not only includes Biamp drivers, but also more than 7,000 devices from more than 100 brands, not only for AV equipment, but environmental control for lighting, window treatments, HVAC, and more – and Biamp continually adds new drivers according to customer needs and requests. As a companion to Project Designer, Biamp also provides customers with its free Device Editor software so they can create their own custom device drivers on the spot--no waiting required.
Project Designer also provides carefully designed and customizable templates so any person can have a user-friendly start to control system UI design for keypad labels and touch interfaces. These templates cover commonly used functions and can be customized to fit almost any project.
The software also provides multiple modalities. Not only can the custom-built UI be reached from touch panels, but also online via compatible web browsers.
What previously took weeks or even longer to design, program and test can now be completed in a matter of days – or even hours – while still delivering robust room control for end users.
