Its technology has been incorporated into 3.6 billion SoCs that are found in automotive, AI, enterprise computing, consumer electronics, communications and industrial applications. Arteris has successfully satisfied the evolving needs of 200+ customers, who represent some of the world's most innovative companies such as Mobileye, NXP, Samsung, Bosch, Microchip, and Tenstorrent just to name a few.

In 2021, Arteris was publicly listed on Nasdaq and has maintained its focus on product innovation along with scalable growth. The international team consists of 250+ world-class engineers and domain experts.

  4. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this second question: Outline the organization's achievements since the beginning of 2023 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

    Total 244 words used.

In Q1 2024 Arteris expanded Ncore cache coherent interconnect IP to accelerate leading-edge semiconductor chip designs and enable cutting-edge applications.

Ncore provides a high-bandwidth, low-latency interconnect fabric for efficient communication between different components of a semiconductor chip or system-on-chip (SoC). Both small embedded systems and large multi-billion transistor designs can benefit from the scalable performance and power efficiency it offers.

This release enabled the integration with the latest multi-processor systems, including RISC-V and next-generation Armv9 Cortex processors. Ncore supports heterogeneous designs by accommodating CHI, ACE, and AXI protocols, allowing seamless integration across diverse systems, from automotive to industrial and enterprise computing applications.

Ncore is also ISO 26262 certified, which supports functional safety. Safety in automotive and industrial designs is critical to prevent failures that could result in serious injuries or loss of life. These systems often operate in unpredictable environments and deal with high-risk tasks. Ensuring robustness and fail-safe operation mitigates these risks, protecting users and equipment. Arteris technology is ASIL D certifiable, and we partner with customers to achieve the appropriate certifications.  To put this into perspective, ~70%-80% of SoCs used in advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) automotive applications rely on Arteris, either coherent or non-coherent NoC IP, or a combination of both.

With the technology like Ncore, SoC designers can meet specific power, performance and area requirements with the flexible fine-tuning of the NoC architecture and can now save up to 50 years of engineering effort per project through advanced coherent interconnect solutions.

  5. If you are providing written answers for your submission, you must provide an answer to this third question: Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant. If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry and/or to the organization's past performance (up to 250 words):

    Total 248 words used.

Designing coherent NoC interconnects manually, without Ncore, is time-consuming and risky. A single design could require an estimated 50 engineering years.  Teams relying on manual solutions often over-design the interconnect, which results in higher power consumption and lower overall performance. Extended verification cycles to ensure data coherency can further delay project timelines and innovation can stall when manual approaches are deployed.

Arteris’ Ncore accelerates chip/SoC design by generating cache coherent NoC interconnects for multi-core systems - overcoming the traditional design hurdles of DIY approaches. This highly configurable commercial IP minimizes manual effort while maximizing the performance of any chip design. It is processor-agnostic and ensures efficient connectivity and communication between SoC components like CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators and memory controllers. Ncore supports advanced scalability, accommodating diverse processor architectures and growing IP block requirements in modern heterogeneous systems. Power, performance and area are optimized in the end chip design, delivering a superior product with a smaller silicon footprint.

Ncore is the only multi-protocol NoC IP that works across AMBA CHI-B, CHI-E and Ace, enabling choice and reuse for legacy and future IP support. Built-in validation layers and pre-verified interconnect IP reduce verification time and accelerate time-to-market. Ncore’s flexible architecture offers customization for applications ranging from automotive, datacenters, industrial and AI.

Chip/SoC engineers are challenged by complexity resulting from the number of processing elements, multiple protocols and functional safety requirements of modern electronics. By leveraging Ncore NoC IP, engineers can optimize their designs, maximize their productivity, and address functional safety requirements with ease.

  6. You have the option to answer this final question: Reference any attachments of supporting materials throughout this nomination and how they provide evidence of the claims you have made in this nomination (up to 250 words):
