This story was part of Angel MedFlight Worldwide Ambulance’s “My Real Life Moment” Patient Stories , called the ‘Holiday Homecoming’ campaign. The goal was to "give back" through helping to reunite and connect families, friends, loved ones. The public voted to determine the recipient of the gift — a donated flight on an air ambulance medical jet. In this inaugural series, “Lori” told how she had received a life-saving bone marrow transplant years before, and that she had always wanted to thank her donor, “Michael,” in person. With the help of Angel MedFlight, their reunion happened by flying Michael from his hometown in Germany to meet Lori in her Iowa, USA hometown. The Angel MedFlight videography team followed the pair and documented their journey.
