Nomination Title: Kim Reed Perell, President

Tell the story about what this nominated woman has achieved since January 1, 2014 (up to 650 words). Describe the impact she has had on your organization and/or industry. Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms.

37-year-old Kim Reed Perell, President of Amobee, is a successful entrepreneur with extensive executive experience in digital marketing and technology. She balances a keen focus on the bottom line and a passion for putting people first—not to mention risk and reward.

Kim was previously CEO of Adconion Direct, a cross channel digital advertising platform that was acquired in June 2014 by SingTel-owned Amobee, for $235M, alongside Kontera Technologies, Inc. Kim played a key role merging Adconion Direct’s cross channel expertise with Amobee’s mobile technology and Kontera’s data intelligence capabilities to form the industry’s most advanced cross channel, data-driven digital marketing technology platform. After unifying the three companies, their technologies, and cultures as one entity under the Amobee brand in September, Kim now leads more than 600 employees across 21 offices worldwide and works alongside 1,000 advertisers including Fortune 500 brands and agencies.

Prior to Adconion, Kim was the CEO and founder of Frontline Direct, a performance marketing company which she self-funded at 26 and grew to over $100 million in annual revenue. Frontline Direct was acquired in February 2008 by Adconion Media Group and Kim was appointed CEO of the integrated entities forming Adconion Direct. Kim drove more than $1 billion in ad spending across mobile, social, display, and video while at Adconion, and grew the business into a leading digital marketing technology provider. She was the first female to join the board of Adconion Media Group, a digital media holding company which provides a portfolio of brand and performance solutions for advertisers worldwide, and in 2013 was named President while maintaining her role as CEO at Adconion Direct.

Perhaps one of Kim’s greatest achievements is leading and cultivating a company with a strong female presence. Approximately 44% of Amobee managers are female – and the executive team includes an impressive roster of women in leadership including, SVP Amanda Currie, who previously co-founded Frontline Direct with Kim (and is Kim’s college roommate and best friend). Alongside her female colleagues, Kim strives to be a role model for professional women and men looking for a fulfilling and advancing career path.

Kim strongly believes that investing in employees’ success and happiness cultivates a vibrant culture that drives innovation and willingness to take on opportunity. Kim’s passion for culture led to Amobee’s legacy participation in the 2013 “Return on Values” study, which is a three year project that explores the link between culture and profit from the Center of Values Driven Leadership in partnership with Inc. Magazine. Kim is also a regularly contributing columnist for Mashable’s DBA, a series about running a business that features insights from leaders in entrepreneurship, venture capital and management.

Kim lives by the tenet that success is best when shared and as such, she has incorporated the value of giving-back into the foundation of Amobee’s culture. Each quarter, every employee participates in a paid, companywide volunteer day with a local organization. Last quarter, Amobee North America volunteered across 5 cities helping feed those in need in partnership with Feeding America San Diego, the LA Regional Food Bank and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Together, the company sorted over 25,000 pounds of food to help hundreds of struggling families.

The impact of Amobee’s philanthropic efforts as a global organization is massive and demonstrates the enormous power of conscious capitalism. When every Amobee office participates in the Global Community Service Program with each employee dedicating 4 hours during an Amobee sponsored community service event in one quarter, the company contributes 2,225 hours cumulatively – the equivalent of 92 days.

As if her 2014 wasn’t busy enough, Kim and her husband – a stunt pilot and her college sweetheart –celebrated the arrival of twins in June during the heart of the Amobee acquisition. Now she’s happily balancing a new, growing family, with the demands of business and travel for a global company.
