Invisalign Practice App was made available to Align customers in October 2021.

Invisalign® treatment is prescribed to patients through Invisalign trained orthodontists or general practitioner dentists. It canstreamline the treatment planning process in a doctor’s practice using features such as Invisalign™ Photo Uploader, patient & prospect management, Invisalign® Virtual Care, Invisalign® Virtual Appointments, and Invisalign SmileView.™
The Invisalign Practice App is fully integrated into the Invisalign doctor website to streamline practice workflows by enabling doctors to manage their Invisalign patients and prospects. Doctors can use the app to onboard new Invisalign patients and manage consumers who may be considering Invisalign treatment. The app also can help doctors track prospective Invisalign patient lead status. Additionally, doctors can schedule virtual appointments with prospective patients so that they can discuss their options for treatment.
Once a consumer confirms that they would like to proceed with Invisalign treatment, a pre-treatment dental photo is needed. One challenge for doctor’s offices is the process of saving DSLR pictures to Digital Cloud. This is where Invisalign Practice App comes into play. Using the mobile device’s camera, the application can take dental images of patients. That are then uploaded to the patient’s profile and can be used to order Invisalign aligners. This streamlines the workflow of transferring DSLR pictures to a desktop and uploading them. It also can help doctors to scale their business by allowing members of their staff to take pictures of patients using any mobile device, instead of having to share a DSLR camera.
Since taking patient photos is a big part of the application, we have spent a lot of time refining the photo taking process. To get consistent photos, the application uses AI-guided photo capture real-time guidance.
Once Invisalign treatment has started, regular in-person or virtual checkups are important so that doctors can review treatment progress and communicate with their patient. Doctors have the option of scheduling virtual meetings (Invisalign® Virtual Care) with their patients through the application.

Primary objective of Invisalign Practice App is to enable doctors to manage their practice from anywhere. The goal of the application is to give doctors the tools they need to optimize their workflow of treating patients with the Invisalign® system. The application touches every step in the treatment process.
Supported Platforms: Invisalign Practice App is supported on all versions of Apple iPhones, iPads & Android Phones. iOS version of the app is built using Swift & SwiftUI. Android version of the app is built using Kotlin.
