Small businesses are always on the lookout for great communication services
that allow them to compete with their enterprise competitors, while at the same
time, not breaking the bank. In recent years, VoIP phone services have done
exactly that, they have allowed these businesses to have a competitive
advantage with feature-rich phone services for a low cost. Junction Networks,
one of the largest providers of hosted VoIP services to small businesses
through the company’s OnSIP product, now has over 5,000 customers that have
taken advantage of the business-class phone service with plans starting at just
$39.95 per month.

The company’s leadership has a thirst for continually evolving their technology
in order to bring the latest technologies and features to customers, without
ever increasing pricing. This is where My.OnSIP comes in. Because the company
is committed to industry leading open standards such as SIP and XMPP, Junction
Networks developers were able to offer not only voice but now a complete
unified communications solution through a browser based dashboard. A first in
the industry for hosted providers, My.OnSIP, launched in September of 2009,
offers voice, and Instant Messaging, all from one screen. Additionally, it is
available to OnSIP customers for no additional fee. As an example of what
My.OnSIP can do – a receptionist at company X is sitting at her computer in the
New York office and a call comes in for the sales team. She goes to her
My.OnSIP homepage and is shown a complete overview of the entire company,
including who is available to take a call and who is not. She sees that there
are two members of the sales team available in the LA office and sends an
instant message to each to ask them if they can take the call. Once she
receives a response from one of the sales reps, she simply clicks on the call
and drags it to that person’s icon, transferring the call. OnSIP can be used on
any Softphone, IP phone or mobile client, making telecommuting a breeze.
My.OnSIP can also be used to make outbound calls with a click of the mouse or
call a co-worker within the My.OnSIP interface without dialing their extension.

OnSIP can simply be compared to Skype for Business offering a complete set of
corporate phone system features including auto-attendant, directories, groups,
free extension calling, conference bridges, business-class reliability, and
flexibility to add up to 10 user agents (phones) to ring simultaneously for one
registered user. OnSIP also offers a free Microsoft plug-in that allows users
to call directly using their Outlook contacts.

Junction Networks has also recently introduced HD Voice calling and conference
calling for OnSIP – again, with no additional fee to customers.
