Since January 2014, the Company has made even larger strides toward using technology and predictive analytics to help limit the crippling physical, emotional, and financial toll of medical uncertainty. In 2014, Best Doctors acquired Rise Health, a leading health analytics firm that helps health plans, employers, and care providers identify the members within their organizations who could benefit most from expert intervention. Best Doctors brings the brightest minds in medicine together to review some of the most complex cases and determine if the right diagnosis and treatment plan have been identified. In 2014, the Best Doctors second opinion process altered or improved diagnoses in 37% of cases and altered or improved treatment plans in 75% of cases.
