Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated executive since the beginning of July last year (up to 525 words):

Yvonne Mei is a seasoned Asian American executive whose impact reaches both the workplace and the community. Yvonne serves as the Executive Vice Chairman of World Financial Group and teaches people about financial products and services that can protect their families and change their lives. She also serves as the co-founder of Benefit Tomorrow Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes civic awareness and public services to develop leadership skills in Asian American youth.

Yvonne’s success in World Financial Group has grown tremendously in the past year. Her cash flow has doubled and she has helped build over 30 offices across North America. She believes that no family should ever be left behind and works hard to reach as many families as possible to educate them about the financial products and services that can protect their families. She regularly hosts free seminars on topics ranging from long-term care and social security benefits to retirement planning.

Yvonne is able to expand her reach by investing her time in building her team, which has grown from 800 licensed agents to 1,000 in the last year across the world. She mentors and coaches her team members; hosts product trainings and leadership development seminars; and plans team-building and appreciation events to give them the resources, support, and encouragement they need to succeed.

As a first generation immigrant from Taiwan, Yvonne has gone through firsthand the struggles that Asian women face in the workplace. She is able to relate to other Asian American women and teach them how they are not defined by stereotypes and how they can become a leader and coach themselves. By empowering and mentoring them, Yvonne has inspired many Asian American women to take their careers into their own hands and define their own futures.

Additionally, Yvonne dedicates her free time to helping the community. She is the co-founder of a non-profit organization Benefit Tomorrow Foundation. Benefit Tomorrow Foundation works hard to promote civic awareness, public services, and economic prosperity to develop young leaders in the Asian Pacific American community. They have provided scholarships and leadership training to over 1,200 Asian-Pacific American college students from across the nation over the years.

Yvonne has all the qualities that a “Female Executive of the Year” nominee should exhibit. She is not only smart, knowledgeable, and dedicated, she believes in contributing to the greater good that lies in our community and the youth in it. She is a leader, coach, mentor, mother, and friend, but most of all, an inspiration to us.

Yvonne Mei, an independent associate of World Financial Group, Inc. (WFG), offers life insurance andfinancial services through World Financial Insurance Agency, Inc. She immigrated to the United States at18 and finished her college education. In 1997, she joined WFG and dedicated herself to helping familiesfinancially. As an Executive Vice Chairman, she’s reached one of the highest field levels with WFG. Yvonne’s father founded a college in Taiwan and her mother was a professor. Her parents instilled in herthe value of education and the importance of giving back to the community. Yvonne believes thateducation is crucial to our next generation and the key to global prosperity. She also co-founded theBenefit Tomorrow Foundation to foster leadership skills in our youth.
