The promotions that IMP has created for clients such as Heal the Bay, JDRF, American Diabetes Assoc., and Childrens Hospital LA have brought together hundreds of companies and have saved countless lives. Nomination Title: Fiesta de la Salud

1. Describe for the judges the objectives, activities, and results of the nominated marketing campaign (up to 500 words):

Fiesta de la Salud is a marketing campaign that is designed to create sales,
traffic and goodwill for the Food Industry in southern California while helping to
save lives in the community. Fiesta de la Salud brings thousands of dollars worth
of free health related services to consumers at their neighborhood grocery store.
The services include screenings for cancer, diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure,
bone density, HIV, vision and dental exams. Children’s services include free
doctors exams, immunizations, and dental exams. Educational information is
available in both English and Spanish. Any person that is found to have abnormal
test result, will be given options for no cost or low cost medical treatment.

In fact, if a woman gets a mammogram at one of the events, and she is found to have
cancer, she will be taken through her entire cancer treatment free of charge by the
state. The program also features free product samples, music, food, exercise
demonstrations and speakers on health related topics. Media and grassroots
marketing help make consumers aware of the free services and drive traffic to the
stores on the day of the event. There is a very strong following and word of mouth
has promoted this program all over Southern California. IMP works with the
packaged goods companies to fund the events. The advertising and merchandising
support from the Retailer guarantees that the food products get a good return on
their investment. IMP recaps all of the display activity, sales data, and
circular ads and ensures that the sampling and event exectuion is flawless. Data
indicates that the program drives thousands of incremental shoppers to the stores
and the products promoted have had sales increases from 200 - 2000%! To date over
50,000 people have been screened and approximately 25% have a serious
disease they did not know they had.

3. Provide a brief biography of the person or persons who lead the team that created and carried out the nominated marketing campaign (up to 100 words):

Susan Bremer-Rossow founded Integrated Marketing & Promotions, Inc. in 2001.
Since that time, Susan has created some of the most successful and widely
supported Hispanic and cause related promotions in the Southern California
market. Prior to starting Integrated Marketing & Promotions, Inc., Susan worked
with City of Hope on the Coupons of Hope Promotion first with L. Norman Howe &
Associates for 10 years and then with her own company Targeted Marketing
Services for four. In the 14 years that she was involved with that program, it
raised over 20 million dollars for City of Hope. Susan has been involved in many food
industry associations. She has been a member of the Illuminators for over 20
years and served on their Board of Directors from 2000 until 2002. Susan has also
served on the Board of Directors of the Food Industry Sales Managers Club of Los
Angeles from 2005 to 2006. She was awarded the prestigeous Presidents Award
from the Food Industry Sales Managers Club in 2006. Susan currently sits on the
executive committee of the Food Industry Sales Managers Club and will be the
FISMC President in 2010. Susan, her husband Steve, and their 6 year old son
Ryan currently reside in the Los Angeles area.
