Nomination Title: DemandLab: Empowering Businesses to Grow Revenues Through Marketing Automation

Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated organization since the beginning of July last year (up to 525 words):

DemandLab is a revenue-focused marketing agency that specializes in marketing automation and CRM technology. Since 2014, the company doubled its staff, has seen an average of 50% YOY revenue growth, collaborated on a campaign that won a top marketing-automation award, and launched a new service category--MAaaS™ (Marketing Automation as a Service).

DemandLab was co-founded in 2009 by Rhoan Morgan in response to the need for integrated marketing services—including content, design, and sales enablement—that helped clients to realize the full potential of marketing automation. DemandLab has grown from a two-person operation into a 10-person team including Marketo experts, content strategists, designers and coders, and sales specialists who work with some of the world’s most progressive and successful B2B brands, including Qlik, Monotype, Aruba, Indeed, Avention, Penske, Stylesight, Apttus, Convercent, MarketWired, IBS, Corcentric, Dell Boomi, and many more. In total, DemandLab has worked with 70+ clients in high tech, higher education, fashion, telecommunications, finance & banking, transportation, HR, and GRC.

In addition to maintaining an average YOY revenue growth of 50% since its inception, the company has delivered remarkable client results. DemandLab has helped its clients create award-winning work and transform their revenue potential, including a 40% reduction in customer acquisition costs for iLEVEL Solutions, savings of nearly $300K per year on marketing content production costs for Stylesight (now WGSN.com), and a 400% increase in leads for Corcentric. DemandLab’s strong track record of achieving success for its clients has resulted in 85% of new business coming exclusively from client referrals.

Since 2014, DemandLab has expanded its offerings by forging strategic partnerships with a range of innovative technology companies. Through partnerships with market-leading companies such as BrightInfo.com, InsideSales.com, PrintingForLess.com, Dun & Bradstreet Netprospex, and SnapApp, DemandLab is able to offer clients the ability to personalize the content discover process, accelerate the sales lifecycle through predictive analytics, coordinate printed marketing materials with automated marketing campaigns, and create interactive content to support multi-channel marketing programs.

DemandLab also gave back to the community with an annual holiday promotion that raised $2,000 and donated the funds on behalf of its clients to the charitable organizations of their choice.

The company also created an employee program that funds personal and professional development activities—from gym memberships and acupuncture to conferences and certification.

The organization’s most significant achievement this year was the launch of MAaaS™ (Marketing Automation as a Service), a new service model that brings the benefit of marketing automation to businesses that would otherwise be unable to support the traditional, in-house ownership model in their organization. MAaaS™ gives marketers access to a complete, outsourced package of marketing automation expertise and technology that requires no upfront investment in a marketing automation platform and no downtime or training time required.

By leading the way in showing businesses how to leverage marketing automation to achieve greater prospect and customer engagement, support increased efficiencies and control over their marketing efforts, DemandLab has been able to help marketing and sales teams at companies of varying sizes and stages gain expertise, elevate their results, and demonstrate their value to the organization through significant top line revenue influence, creation and growth.
