Over the last two years BrightRoll has seen a 100 percent compounded annual growth rate and has grown its workforce by nearly 70 percent since the beginning of 2013.

Expansion of the BrightRoll team is fueling advancements to the company’s award-winning technology platform, including the BrightRoll console, while various collaborations and partnerships with key ad tech and measurement companies are driving advancements in the digital video advertising industry.

In 2013, Brightroll expanded its team, concentrating on engineering and product development in order to enable BrightRoll to continue to grow and evolve quickly in the ever-changing digital video advertising atmosphere. At the moment, engineering and product make up nearly 25% of all employees. BrightRoll’s engaging workplace allows the company to attract top talent from the likes of Google, Salesforce, Twitter and Zynga to help fuel the company’s advancements.

In addition, BrightRoll made a number of significant executive appointments over the past year. The company appointed Brent Horowitz as vice president of business development – to build new and manage existing strategic partnerships, Adolfo Castellon as vice president of engineering and Monique Ho as general counsel. In addition, BrightRoll has built a number of strategic relationships over the past year in order to bring advanced solutions to the market and drive the industry forward. Recently, BrightRoll and Google’s DoubleClick expanded their programmatic video relationship allowing buyers on the BrightRoll platform real-time access to Google ad properties. Other recent partnerships include a strategic relationship with Moat to deliver free, MRC-accredited viewability metrics and reporting to all BrightRoll clients at no cost. In addition, BrightRoll partnered with BlueKai and is the first to integrate the company’s third-party mobile data, helping advertisers reach targeted audiences at scale. BrightRoll also announced an agreement with Nielsen and comScore to help advertisers increase the efficacy of their digital video ad campaigns. Through this collaboration, BrightRoll now provides end-to-end campaign workflow on the console through comScore and Nielsen’s third-party measurement data at every stage of the campaign lifecycle.

Under Tod’s direction, the company has evolved from concept into the world’s largest and most trusted video advertising platform for reaching audiences across web, mobile and connected TV. Prior to founding BrightRoll, Tod served as the director of revenue at Plaxo, one of the fastest growing Internet companies in history. He also led business development at Spoke Software, an Internet pioneer in sales and marketing efficiency solutions.

Tod received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 Award in the Advertising Tech category in Northern California and won the 2013 Stevie Award for Innovator of the Year in Computer Software.
