Tell the story about what this nominee achieved since January 1 2011 (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

As Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Realtors®, Dale Stinton has successfully guided America’s largest trade association, representing 1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries, in tackling the nation’s most critical issues and challenges regarding buying, selling and owning a home.

Stinton brings his strategic insight, expertise, relationships and experience to NAR and the real estate industry. To tackle monumental issues facing the industry and help Realtors® be more influential at all levels of government, in 2011 Stinton drove the development of the association’s Realtor® Party Initiative, a partnership between NAR and the nation’s 1,500 state and local associations to advocate issues that matter to NAR’s members, America’s 75 million homeowners and those who aspire to one day own a home.

Through RPI, NAR helped 11 states write legislation, adopted into laws, which banned private transfer fees. NAR partnered with the Louisiana Realtors® Association to persuade voters to amend the state constitution to prohibit all real estate transfer taxes. The constitutional ballot initiative won with 81 percent of the vote, the second highest voter approval in state history for a constitutional amendment. NAR also funded New York State Association of Realtors® successful legislative campaign to enact a 2 percent cap on annual property taxes.

Under Stinton’s leadership, NAR worked to ensure the continued flow of capital into the real estate market and preserve residential and commercial property ownership. Achievements include persuading Congress to reinstate loan limit formulas and caps for Federal Housing Administration-insured loans, spearheading a 47-member coalition to oppose a rule proposed by federal regulators that would increase mortgage downpayment requirements, and securing several extensions of the National Flood Insurance Program for the more than 5.6 million home and business owners who rely on the program.

Stinton also directed the growth of the Realtors® Property Resource, a national database of real estate property information, which includes nearly 150 million parcels of property, giving Realtors® an unparalleled way to serve their clients. RPR includes in-depth, trusted information on every parcel of real property, including public record information, details of previous transactions, information from multiple-listing services, and zoning and transfer tax information.

Last year Stinton guided the creation and development of Realtor® University, a groundbreaking educational initiative. The institution offers professional development and continuing education in real estate and was recently granted operating and degree authority to offer a Master of Real Estate degree.

Realtor.com, the largest online destination for real estate listings, expanded last year under Stinton’s guidance to include worldwide property listings. The site now delivers 4.4 million for-sale listings to buyers across the globe.

In addition to his CEO responsibilities with NAR, Stinton is the president of Second Century Ventures, NAR’s strategic investment arm. SCV has a track record of developing and implementing high-value partnership initiatives and investments that are helping keep Realtors® at the heart of real estate transactions and better serving their clients.
