Nomination Title: Mindjet

Tell the story about this nominated product or service (up to 525 words). Describe its function, features, benefits, and performance to date:

More than two million individuals, thousands of small businesses, and 83% of Fortune 100 companies use Mindjet to generate ideas, organize information, store and share data, and manage workflow, maximizing the power of collaboration. To that end, Mindjet’s strategy of being bold, innovative, and demonstrating that project focused team collaboration is the foundation of success for many businesses, is a critical driver in the company’s success. To differentiate Mindjet from the competition and better communicate the company’s value proposition, Mindjet introduced a new product that clearly distinguishes Mindjet as the industry’s innovation leader and further accelerates the company’s overall growth.

The product provides four key capabilities:

(1) Visual document management makes it easy for everyone to find the information they need
(2) Shared virtual whiteboards get everyone on the same page before your team begins any kind of project
(3) Social task management keeps everyone coordinated and in sync on tasks and activities
(4) Enhancing other enterprise information sources for partner and/or customer integration, distributing timely business information to a larger audience.

There are several key features that led to the product’s success: New Features:

• Mindjet for Business’ integration with the Mindjet mobile app helps you work anywhere and anyway you want. 2GB of secure cloud storage keeps files safe and accessible from home, office, or on the road.
• Manage tasks, transfer files and track your progress from any mobile device.
• Enhanced decision-making tools help you better evaluate your project’s alternatives, risks and strategies.
• Automatic calculations support planning and budgeting.
• Software & support provided for both Windows and Mac platforms.

Unlike other social collaboration tools in the space, Mindjet acts as a virtual whiteboard allowing teams to prioritize and categorize map topics, enabling free-form capture of ideas, goals, and requirements to better evaluate strategies. Introduced in 2012, Mindjet’s mobile app, Mindjet Tasks, gives businesses and individuals in over 170 countries visibility into team actions as well as accountability and transparency at the individual level, which simplifies task management and prioritization. Mindjet Tasks is compatible with both iPhone and Android phones, allowing capturing ideas, sharing files, and managing tasks seamless from anywhere.

Bayer, Credit Suisse, Dow, HSBC, Nokia, Volvo, and Ekso Bionics are just a few companies who use Mindjet’s tools as a visual whiteboard to capture ideas and collaborate on projects. The process of creating interactive maps helps these and other organizations quickly gain clarity into problems and business opportunities. Because both a complete overview and drill down to access relevant details can be made visible, Mindjet helps teams validate priorities, map out timelines, assign resources and complete projects on time.

Fundamentally, Mindjet software makes team collaboration simple and smart by getting what's important out front: ideas. The latest generation of software enables teams to brainstorm and plan on virtual whiteboards, co-edit and store documents, create plans, and keep everyone on the same page with real-time task management. Mindjet works within current IT investments and is 100% platform agnostic. Mindjet integrates with popular workplace apps, including Microsoft Office & Project, SharePoint, Yammer, Box and IBM Connections.
