As the main sponsor of the UEFA Champions League Final, Turkish Airlines sought to leverage the power of football-oriented influencers to reach a global audience and promote both the brand and the city of Istanbul.

    Strategy:
    To ensure a memorable and emotionally charged experience, we meticulously planned a 3-day journey that allowed the influencers to savor the true essence of Istanbul. From experiencing the city's rich history to indulging in its delectable culinary delights, the influencers became captivated by Istanbul's charm.

    Unique Football Match:
    The most spectacular moment was the awe-inspiring "Influencer Football Match" held on a boat in the Bosphorus, located in the middle of the Asian and European continents. This revolutionary concept brought together 20 influential figures from around the world, combining football and influencer marketing like never before. This extraordinary match, with the participation of a professional referee, further increased the impact of the campaign. 

    Influencer Collaboration and Native Content:

    To ensure the success of this unprecedented project, we carefully curated unique experiences for the influencers, fostering an environment where they could truly immerse themselves in the magic of Istanbul and the UEFA Champions League Final. As a result, the influencers created native content that organically resonated with their followers, making it genuine and captivating.

    Exceeding Expectations:

    Thanks to the influencers' genuine enthusiasm and the unforgettable experiences they had, our campaign significantly surpassed expectations. The influencer-generated content far exceeded the projected numbers for posts, stories, and overall engagement, showcasing the remarkable impact of the project.

    With this campaign, Turkish Airlines successfully positioned itself at the forefront of the UEFA Champions League Final, leaving an indelible mark on the football community and capturing the attention of a global audience. By leveraging the power of influencer collaboration, we have successfully elevated the campaign, capturing the essence of Istanbul and the excitement of the UEFA Champions League Final, while generating a remarkable response from our target audience.

    • A total of 20 global influencers actively participated in the campaign, collectively possessing an astounding following of 392 Million 827 Thousand and 900.
    • Throughout the campaign, we reached total numbers of 1,635 shared stories and 103 shared posts, reaching a staggering impression of 302 Million 934 Thousand 926.
    • The campaign's earned media value amounted to an impressive $10 Million 669 Thousand 715, showcasing the tremendous success of our influencer marketing project. 

    The campaign exceeded the expectation for the number of posts agreed with influencers by 128.75% and the expectation for the number of stories by 1021.87%.
    The campaign exceeded the estimated pre-campaign impressions by 271% and the estimated media earned value by 346%

    Results and Achievements:

    The immersive experience allowed influencers to form deep connections with Istanbul, leading them to genuinely engage with and promote the city to their audiences.
    The "Influencer Football Match" aboard the boat garnered extensive attention and acclaim, propelling the campaign to new heights in influencer marketing innovation.
    The exclusive UEFA Champions League final training experience with Yaya Touré further reinforced the influencers' enthusiasm and generated exceptional engagement on social media.
    Turkish Airlines' sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League Final garnered international recognition, elevating the brand as a passionate supporter of football and influential experiences.
