Qatar Vision Production Company "QVision", played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the IATA's 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit Gala Event, held in Doha, Qatar from June 19-21, 2022. This significant aviation event, hosted by Qatar Airways, brought together top leaders from airlines, the aviation value chain, and governments. The strategic timing of the event coincided with the anticipation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, offering an ideal opportunity for Qatar and the region to showcase their capability in hosting mega events. Qatar Airways enlisted Qvision's expertise to develop, produce, and manage the IATA AGM Welcome Gala Dinner on June 19, 2022, attended by 1,000 delegates. The event, held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, was meticulously built from scratch to create a memorable experience. The program featured a presentation of Middle Eastern culture and folklore, culminating in a spectacular live performance by the renowned artist Cristina Aguilera.

The inspiration for the event stemmed from a carefully crafted concept and theme celebrating Qatar, the Middle East, and the Arab World. Qvision ensured that every aspect, including theming, creativity, and food and beverage offerings, reflected Qatari hospitality while appealing to the international guests in attendance. A remarkable 80 meters x 6 meters panoramic mapped curved LED screen served as the centerpiece, providing a 180° view for the audience. Qvision developed captivating CGI content for the stage screen, incorporating Qatar Airways branding pictograms and animated objects reflecting the airline's image.

The venue, initially an empty space at an exhibition center, was transformed into a fully operational event space. Qvision conceptualized, planned, and built the entire setup, including various areas such as security screening, reception, gala dinner space, VIP holding area, and more. The venue's complete branding showcased the event's look and feel. Technical excellence was demonstrated with the installation of 1,200 moving and static lights, a digitally controlled 140dB surround audio system, and all necessary backline technical equipment for the artists. The welcome reception featured live performances by Qatari handicraft talents, magicians, silhouette artists, and freestyle football players.

A 60-minute custom dance show, incorporating 60 dancers and showcasing Middle Eastern culture, entertained guests during dinner. An interactive live speed painting show engaged guests, and the evening concluded with a live concert by Christina Aguilera. The gala dinner hosted prominent figures from the Qatar business community, TV celebrities, foreign ambassadors, and FIFA and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy representatives. Qvision's comprehensive scope included creative concept design, program content, venue setup, catering, show and film production, copywriting, branding, full event management, photography and highlights film, gift design and distribution, guest management, logistics, and invitation handling.

Key objectives, planning, and execution points included research, venue design, reflection of Qatari hospitality, highlighting Qatar Airways' image, engaging guests, delivering a seamless event, ensuring quality, and exciting the audience.

The gala dinner achieved its objectives, leaving a positive impression on the 1,000 attendees, including IATA delegates, Qatar business representatives, celebrities, ambassadors, FIFA representatives, and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Committee. The event successfully showcased Qatar Airways and demonstrated Qatar's readiness for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Daily reporting, meticulous planning, and stakeholder coordination contributed to the overall success, resulting in a satisfied client in Qatar Airways and a historic and memorable IATA event. On another note, the event won several awards during the Global Eventex Awards 2023 and was also nominated in the top list of the category 'Best Social Event' at the Middle East Events Awards 2023.
