During the challenge of confronting Covid-19, the Public Prosecution proved its capabilities in facing this type of challenge due to its reliance on innovation and foresight for years
The prosecution has technically and cognitively empowered its judicial and administrative human resources, which has been significantly and swiftly reflected in their ability to work efficiently remotely since the first working day for precautions .
The process of developing human resources continued efficiently, and even the targets were exceeded due to the rapid pursuit by the Human Resources Department towards establishing partnerships with entities outside the scope of the Ras Al Khaimah government in an effort to continue and sustain empowerment and development, so all training turned to 100% remotely and at zero operational cost. Of course, the Public Prosecution applies the ROI model to measure the impact of training and we are the only department at the level of the government of Ras Al Khaimah that applies it based on its belief that developing human resources is an investment.
Empowering employees with skills that support innovation and foresight is a high priority, as programs have been allocated in global innovation methodologies, future foresight, artificial intelligence and big data to ensure that the department works on developing future strategic plans that support achieve UAE 2071 Vision. We achieve nearly 60% of implementation the feasible ideas, which is a tremendous achievement for a government department, given the current conditions that the world as a whole is going through .
Among the most important innovations that were among the employees' ideas that were applied :
•Visual communication concerned with remote investigation of all cases, which contributed to the protection of human capital, security and health
•RASED, which is the use of artificial intelligence in decision-making and analysis of judicial data
•The self-service device that contributed to providing services to remote dealers, especially for prisoners, and providing fees for appointing a lawyer to represent them in their requests and providing them with the need to transport them to the headquarters
• “Weyak” initiative, which is concerned with providing personal and professional support to all department employees through a life coach and psychological counselor. and the prosecution department is the only one at the level of the state government that provides that to its employees with complete confidentiality An external consultant .
Despite the tendency of a large number of institutions to reduce the expenses of human resources salaries by dispensing with their employees, the Public Prosecutor's direction was to focus on its staff and develop it through preserving and rotating jobs, which contributes to the high production capacity without the need for any new jobs In line with the top trends towards rationing operating expenses .
The Public Prosecution Department has an integrated matrix of functional competencies linked to each job title and this is a pioneering initiative for the department which contributed to the efficiency of the selection process in the interviews in proportion to each job in addition to Effectiveness of the performance appraisal process .
A succession matrix has been established, which ensures the sustainability and continuity of the supervisory processes in the department in order to ensure the sustainability of the operational processes efficiently, the matrix aims to enable a second row for all supervisory leaders in the department by selecting qualified people for the purpose of empowering them for any future leadership position or managing any internal or external project through leadership skills development.
The Public Prosecution has achieved the first place at the level of government departments in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah As the leading Entity, and winning the first place in HR awards two times.
