In this we would like to share one of our innovative ideas that was developed and executed in 2021 which resulted in a successful practice that generated a solid amount of revenues without having any financial burden on the organization's budget. The idea was developed internally and offered to Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (Du) which they gladly accepted, therefore a collaboration was made and an agreement was signed immediately. The service provided was called Sim24, where every visitor is given a free sim card on arrival at the immigration counter. The sim card is topped up with an amount allowing the traveler to save time of visiting the sim card distributor shops in the city. The agreement was exclusive to Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (Du) and Du offered 10% of the revenues generated by the sim card that was distributed by the immigration officers. In March of 2021 the service was launched and revenues started streaming in reaching a total of 4.7 million AED, then in 2022 and due to Dubai winning the hosting rights to one of the most prestigious and impactful world events in terms of business and traveling promotions EXPO 2022, revenues dramatically increased in a very short period of time taking into consideration the huge amount of visitors attending the event. The revenues in 2022 has tripled resulting in 13 million AED. In 2023 the service generated 7.7 million AED until September of 2023, the last 5 months of the year generates most of the portion of revenues due to Dubai attracting more visitors during this season, therefore 2023's revenue is expected to exceed 2022 as the forecasted amount is 15 million this year.
