    EHS has established an integrated media crisis management framework to implement and properly prepare media messages for crisis and emergency situations.

    During Covid-19 pandemic, EHS has played a major media role in UAE through managing the crisis in the media, where an agile and proactive media plan and campaigns were developed to respond to the pandemic in collaboration with other health authorities in UAE as follow:

    • Launched promotional and awareness media messages about COVID-19 and methods of prevention, and produced multiple innovative visual materials (+105)videos to enhance awareness about COVID-19.
       
    • Launched media campaigns to encourage the examination for Covid-19, and enhance the early detection and isolation of the infected people.
       
    • Launched media campaigns to encourage the vaccination to preserve the gains and immunize community.
       
    • Proactively published media messages covering instructions of how to deal with Covid-19 pandemic through different social media platforms.
       
    • Diversify social media platforms languages through producing educational materials in (6)languages to reach different nationalities and cultures in UAE.
       
    • Responded to (100%)of customers’ inquiries in2020 related to COVID-19 where their happiness rate on social media increased (+11%)in2020 compared to2019.
       
    • Launched (+156,186)COVID-19 media messages in 2020-2021 that included(+82) media briefings, (+166)designs, (+127)instructional and awareness videos.
       
    • Used innovative tools and communication channels, such as display screens in health facilities, innovative designs of awareness messages (infographic), promotion through the smart application and the website, collaborated with radio and television channels, and also the social media channels.
       
    • Utilized the call center capabilities to provide health support and advice for people infected with COVID-19.
       
    • Launched COVID-19 mobile app and COVID-19 information center.
       
    • Launched the mental health manual guide that provides awareness messages to support mental &social health during crises.
       
    • Prepared a study to measure the pulse of the UAE society on effective communication practices and media coverage and campaigns in managing the Covid-19 pandemic and impact in building community health awareness.

    As a result of the media crisis framework and media efforts, the following have been achieved:

    • Achieved (100%)of COVID-19social media initiative targets2020-2021
       
    • Won the Golden Dolphin and Black awards for the movie “Azm”2019 as the best promotional campaign for health initiatives.
