Nomination Title: Best Use of Social Media—COVID-19-related Information

Dubai Municipality aims to publish news, statistics and raise awareness through its various social media platforms. The media of Dubai Municipality has played a major role during the pandemic Covid-19 by highlighting its great efforts to combat it, and published the contents through three stages:

- The beginning of the pandemic: The content focused on publishing the municipality circulars, regulations and prevention tips.

- During the pandemic (National Sterilization Program): During this period, the focus was on showing the municipality's efforts during sterilizing various areas, in addition to participating in # Stay_Home and #Committed_UAE, as well as giving public health advice and virus prevention methods to the public.

- After the pandemic (phases of easing restrictions and the reopening): Publications were further diversified, as the reopening decisions and new circulars were announced. The focus was on educating the public about the precautionary measures that should be followed and photographing the municipality's efforts on inspecting the commitment of public and private institutions and announcing any closure of non-compliant institutions.

- A special media team has formed immediately after the crisis, they prepared and implemented awareness regarding health and safety through publications and short clips on social media.
- 1192 educational materials were prepared and published on social media platforms about steps of protection from the emerging Covid-19. The role of Dubai Municipality in intensifying various precautionary measures in buildings and institutions related to health and safety in food establishments as well.
- 40 educational videos were prepared about Covid-19, including all institutions that fall within the scope of the health and safety.
- Followers on various social media channels have reached 71,345 followers, highlighting 10% increase.
- Feedbacks crossed the one million mark (planned) to jump to 2,748.798 on Facebook, 1,792,888 on Twitter, and 3,486,342 in Instagram.
