In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, DHL Express Saudi Arabia andeCommerce Customer Solutions Manager,Shoaib Javed,won three Gold and three Bronze 2020 Stevie Awards for innovations in e-commerce products and services, customer service training, and a new paperless trade service.
The DHL Saudi Arabia Electronic Shipping Solutions (ESS) team, consisting of 3 agents led by their manager Shoaib Javed , is always in the pursuit of meeting customer’s expectation by reaching out to customers to utilize out of the box innovations like their paperless trade service (PLT) solution.
DHL Saudi launched the PLT solution for customers to send their customs related documents (import/export commercial Invoice) electronically, eliminating the need to print and attach customs paperwork physically to the shipments. The new service has reduced costs and man hours and is part of DHL’s Go-Green vision.
In 2019, DHL Customer Service created a plan to improve the work environment and to promote people and to provide them with advancement opportunities. Effective training, management and development programs were put into place to create a meaningful dialog with employees to encourage them to work better and be more engaged with their colleagues and managers. In 2019, over 34 employees were promoted into positions across the organization, a 62% increase over 2018. And the department is currently holding the best score card in terms of “KPI’s” in the history of DHL KSA.
DHLSaudi Arabiaalso launched “Power up Your Start Up” a new extended service to cater to the ever growing need of the SME e-commerce market. DHL provides business owners with a robust and diverse platform to safely transport their goods and provides value added services through newly designed retail outlets with modern meeting venues, a fully equipped photography studios, and storage facilities. The Power up Your Start Up solution supports young B2C owners and helps them take their business from local to global.
