Zaher Ali Al-Sai has a B.S. degree in computer science and an MBA (Hons.) in e-government Technology. She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science in the field of study of Big Data and Software Engineering. She is currently an assistant professor of Big Data at Al- Zaytoonah University of Jordan. Her current research interests include Big Data, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Business Information Technology, Big Data and Software Engineering, Big Data development, Big Data Readiness, Maturity Assessment, e-government, and digital transformation.
Zaher is the Chief Executive Officer of Big Data Minds MENA, one of the Middle East's most significant Big Data and data science communities. She has led various projects in the Technology sector. She launched and managed several technological initiatives in Jordan and Mena region to empower women and children. Her first initiative was empowering women in data science in the Mena region by establishing the Arabian women in data science initiative and organizing many events and workshops in data science and AI.
Moreover, Zaher was recognized as a finalist at the largest virtual awards celebration in technology for women, minorities, and their allies, Women in Tech Global Awards 2021 and 2022 by WomenTech Network on the world's largest communities for women in tech with more than 6000 ambassadors from 172 countries, the only member from MENA region, among the world’s top global technology leaders. She was recently nominated by WomenTech, as a global mentor and community partner of the WomenTech Global Awards (see appendix).
Zaher was expanding its achievements by representing Women in Data Science WiDS at Stanford University in Jordan and organizing global WiDS Datathon and workshops events in Jordan and the Middle East to empower Arabian women in the MENA region in technology and Data Science and other various Data domains from 2020 until this year 2023. Since 2020, She organized several datathon and workshops in Jordan to empower women in Data Science. (see appendix)
Also, teaching children (8-16) years take a place priority by launching the Global initiative of Kids in Data Science and AI” KiDS” to empower and teach children the skills of Data Science and AI including skills related to problem-solving, math, Robotics and Coding (ex: PYTHON). (see appendix)
Zaher sits on the founder Council Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship Association. Also, she is the Vice President of the Malaysian Universities Alumni Association in Jordan and an editor in many Journals in Big Data and Technology.
For over five years, Zaher Al-Sai has demonstrated great inspiration in leading Big Data Minds, Women in Data Science in Jordan, and Arabian women in Data Science. She founded the Arabian women in Data Science, a non-profit organization, that has impacted over 50,000 women. Zaher volunteer to teach and empower more than 5000 of her community members (Women, Teenagers, children, and students) in technology and data science. Moreover, since 2020, she organized more than 50 events in various regions of Jordan.
Zaher is a visionary leader that continuously seeks innovation to maintain her initiatives as the Technology women leader in Technology and data science. She is inspiring and educating community members worldwide, regardless of gender, and supporting women in the field of data science. She hopes to reach all counties and villages in the world, educate all people and be an evangelist for data science and technology.
