major abuses: sex trafficking and forced prostitution; gender-based violence, and
maternal mortality. Launched in August 2009, the site supports a movement
sparked by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl
WuDunn’s book “Half the Sky.”  High resolution imagery of women tells visual
stories while testimonials from world luminaries rotate nearby.  Subpages invite
