Anne-Lise Dorry, CPA, is the Senior Director in charge of an editorial team creating Corporate Finance products for Thomson Reuters’ Checkpoint platform. Anne-Lise was promoted to this position in April 2018, after being very successful in her previous role as managing editor of our accounting publications. She now leads a team of 38 people and manages products that generate over $12m each year.
After over eight years at Thomson Reuters in our Tax & Accounting Business, Anne-Lise has successfully channeled her past experience in public accounting to create accounting research products that make US and international accounting standards accessible to finance professionals of all levels. Tens of hundreds of professionals rely heavily upon her publications to keep abreast of updates and emerging standards and regulations that affect both domestic and cross-border financial reporting. Anne-Lise strives to explain the most complex accounting concepts in simple terms and is determined to illustrate the standards as simply as possible. Her products include thousands of illustrations and observations.
Anne-Lise’s products are part of Thomson Reuters award-winning online research platform that provides practical insight and expertise on complex financial reporting topics undergoing changes such as revenue recognition, leases, or accounting for income taxes. She heads the team creating our innovative Checkpoint Catalyst: US GAAP series. This series of titles is dedicated to new and complex topics in accounting and dives deep into practical issues and considerations related to each topic. This series earned two 2018 Gold American Business Awards and the 2018 People’s Choice Award for Favorite New Products of the Year. This product has experienced a two-digit annual growth rate since its launch.
Anne-Lise is also frequently sought after by the industry’s trade publications for her insights. Her latest comments on income taxes were published in December by the CPA Practice Advisor. She also encourages her team to write and publish thought leadership pieces and they frequently do.
Anne-Lise strongly believes in mentoring younger women and giving them the opportunity to develop and grow. She has been mentoring a young woman who was recently promoted to a managerial position. Her recent recruits have all been talented female professionals because she believes in women supporting women.
Anne-Lise is a member of our Employee Advisory team to our Executive Board created this year, where she is working with our leadership team on a large employee engagement project aiming at providing clear career paths to all employees in our organization.
Anne-Lise started her career with PwC in France before moving to their New York office in 2003 as a senior manager in the audit practice. Thomson Reuters recruited her in 2009 as a managing editor and recently promoted her to a Senior Director position. She is a graduate of the renowned HEC School of Management (France), where she majored in accounting and auditing.
When she is not working, Anne-Lise is a runner and a volunteer of no match. She volunteers time for several New York-based humanitarian organizations to fight starvation and raise awareness of critical health issues. Every year, she captains the Thomson Reuters team of runners taking part in a 5K race in Hoboken that raises funds for local youth organizations.

Anne-Lise Dorry is the Senior Director of Corporate Finance Products at Thomson Reuters. In her role, she manages an editorial team of 38 people. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and in France. Ms. Dorry started her career at one of the Big Four accounting firms, first in France, then in New York. She has served clients that prepared financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, French GAAP, and statutory accounting principles. Her main areas of expertise include business combinations, foreign exchange, international accounting, fair value measurements, and investments. She was named one of the 2016 Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor. Ms. Dorry is a graduate from Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC), School of Management.
