Background

She Prosperity is the guidebook no one gives women as they navigate through corporate life, especially in traditional male dominated industries.

Many women leave corporate life because of this lack of guidance and the pressure to do business like a man. This creates signficant cost to business.

Kimberly Sumner founded She Prosperity in early 2017, and now works with organisations and women in corporate middle management offeringshort-burst impact training programs focussed on confidence, resilience and stepping forward authentically as women, underpinned by neuroscience for maximum results.

Most women in middle management don’t want to bang their fists on table, hustle or do win-lose negotiations, but they want to do business their way, and feel valued.She Prosperity “Stepping-Forward” helps women to do just that,to stepforward when they don'tfeel 100% ready orare challenged with communicating their value with confidence.

It developed from a productoffering in another market -training women in their own businesses to be successful.

Kimberly saw an opportunityin corporate - whilecoaching exists for women at executive level (or those being “fast-tracked”), a gap existed for women in middle management who wanted specific help, and didn't want to do business (or be coached) like men.

The cost - talent scarcity issues, gender pay gap, women opting out of the workforce.

Neuroscience

Using latest MRI technologies, many recent research studies reveal differences in brain connections between the sexes (see supporting info).

This research has become the grounding for “Stepping Forward” helping women understand why they do what they do, alongside practical strategies to use their strengthsto help them to step into leadership in ways that feel authentic.

Evolution

July-Nov 2016
-Teaching a 6-week online course to self-employed women. Beta testing, run-through twice. Challenged with the NZ market - limited in size, target market cash-strapped.
-Friends in corporate sharing personal challenges with resilience, communicatingtheir value and stepping forward for roles they didn’t think they were ready for.

Feb-Mar 2017
2 months - testing (20 corporate women - banking, legal and IT) to research MVP corporatemarket offering - leadership training for women.
E-Learning program investigated with/withoutlivegroup-coaching element.
Pivot - Route to market not through HR, but via business unit heads and support from governance levels.

Apr-May 2017+
Corporate procurement process a long game vs immediate need voiced by women for value they were happy to pay for (separate product offering developed).
Developing corporate relationships at business unit head, CEO and governance levels leveraging previous relationships developed in banking (when Kimberly in corporate).

Working as an investment analyst with one of the world’s leading trading firms, Kimberly Sumner loved what she did but realised to get ahead she had to do business like a man.

Leaving corporate because she could not see how to connect authentically with herself as a woman alongside success, she built a +1million dollar business with her husband, later transitioning to help other women do the same.

A mum to three teenagers, a love for scuba diving and her book-club, Kimberly founded She Prosperity early 2017, continuing her mission to help women bring their value to the table authentically as women, now extended into corporate, driven by her deep desire to help women thrive in corporate roles and organisations outperform through diversity in leadership.
