Melisa Tantoco Quijano

MelisaQuijano is Nu Skin’s President for Asia Pacific. She manages 13 markets including Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, French Polynesia and 7 countries in Southeast Asia. As President, Melisa is responsible for the region’s sales performance, oversees more than 800 employees and supports more than 450,000 Nu Skin customers and sales leaders. At December 2016, the Asia Pacificaccounted for 44.8% of Nu Skin’s global revenue generating US$989 million in sales.

Throughout her 20-year career with direct selling powerhouse Nu Skin, Melisa has worked and lived in different Southeast Asian countries including a few years in USA as Global Vice President for Market Services. Her exposure to different aspects of the business and her understanding of the cultural differences in the region has enabled her to implement successful strategies and lead her markets to growth.

More than just achieving corporate goals, Melisa is passionate about empowering others, especially helping other women achieve their full potential. Melisaencourages them to add value to themselves, helps them build self-confidenceand works in cognizance to mentor women inher organizationto achieve more.

Melisa also works very closely with theNu Skinsales leaders, many of whom are women, building their careers as business entrepreneurs. “A lot of women in our region tend to doubt themselves and often need the additional push to take risks and validation that they are equally good. I hope to be their cheerleader, cheering them on and encouraging them to shine.” This has become Melisa’s personal mission.

Through her support and rapport with the sales leaders, Melisa and her team haveworked together to create100Million Dollar Circle members in Southeast Asia alone– these one hundred Nu Skin sales leaders have earnedat leastone million US dollarsin commissionsduring their tenure with the company and helped transform the lives of many others. This isa milestone achievement for theregion celebrating its20thyear of doing business inSoutheast Asia.

In Southeast Asia she helped to set up theNu SkinSoutheast Asia Children’s Heart Fund(SEACHF). This initiative helpsunderprivileged children suffering from congenital heart disease undergo corrective heart surgeries.This CSR program generatedsufficient funds to provide cardiac surgery for3 children every day in 2016. Nu Skin SEACHF hassaved more than 8700 children to-date. This initiative has since expanded to Greater China region where more than 5700 surgeries have been performed to date. Melisa serves as Board Member of PCSF (in Thailand) and CHILD Foundation (in Philippines).

Melisa serves the Direct Selling industry as an active member of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA). She is currently in the Association Advisory Council supporting the needs of the Direct Selling Associations in Asia Pacific.

Melisa Quijano serves as the president of Nu Skin Asia Pacific, which includes Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Previously, Melisa served as president of the South Asia/Pacific region, general manager for Nu Skin Malaysia and Nu Skin Thailand, and regional marketing director for the Southeast Asia region. She was also the vice president of market services for the company's global Distributor Success Organization based in the U.S.

Before joining Nu Skin, Melisa worked in other multinational consumer companies and direct selling companies. She has more than30years of management experience with a solid track record of growth. Melisa is married to Anthony Quijano and has two children, Carl and Lia.
