From September15, 2015, NEXT Trucking began operations as a technology startup in the logistics industry. Lack of transparency and outdated technology in the trucking industry means carriers have to wait hours to book a job and shippers can’t see who is handling their freight. After witnessing first-hand the inefficiencies, CEO and Founder Lidia Yan established NEXT Trucking to streamline the process. By disrupting the industry with the concept of on-demand, our leader was indeed a pioneer in Ubernizing the trucking business.
Since July 2016, there have been several major updates andlaunches added to our main product -- the NEXT Trucking mobile app.
In August 2016, NEXT Trucking launched thechat function onappthat allows users to connect in a simplistic and creative form. The chat function allows users to communicate with otherdrivers on the road with voice recording messages that play automatically after sending. Similar to a walkie talkie function, drivers can now be a part of the trucking community amongst other drivers while driving to their destination in a safe manner. Userscan also send group messages, photos, videos and locations if needed.
In March this year, NEXT Trucking app was updated with the new Book it! functtion. Instead of truckers looking all day on the loadboards and finding no preferable loads, they could now instantly book loads they want within seconds on the mobile app. Whenever a preferrable load that matches the carrier's preferences, they will be notified on their phone to review the available load list. As this Book it! function is first come first serve, both parties save time by leaving out unnecessaryphone calls and enabling higher efficiency.
In June 2017, in addition to web portal, we also developedmobile app access for dispatchers to manage fleet and book loads from mobile devices. This is the very first mobile function in the market that is specifically designed for fleet managers.Thisdesktop and mobile management system allows dispatchers to find available loads, assign drivers, manage shipments, and more -- all free of charge.
Also this June, NEXT Truckinglaunch the international ecommerce fulfillment program with CargoPM partnership. Theexciting new venture leverages partnerships and provides significant savings for international shipping. Traditionally, small to medium vendors have relied on airfreight to send goods internationally for storage, deconsolidation, and ecommerce fulfillment. NEXT Trucking is streamlining that process by collaborating with cargo service providers and US warehousing locations. This complete one-stop-shop logistics solution can service freight forwarders that use vendors such as Amazon.
