In the industry and at Fiserv, an organization of 20,000+ associates and a dozen business divisions, Cheryl is widely recognized as a ‘shining star’ executive, a revered and admired business leader, and a well-respected industry influencer.
During summer 2015, she led a significant, rigorous high stakes business transformation within Investment Services that required weekly progress reports to Fiserv corporate executive stakeholders eager to realize new growth and development opportunities. Branded IGNITE, Cheryl defined the requirements and roles, assembled a select cross-functional team, and articulated all deliverables including the expected end-state with exceptional efficacy. Within seven months, the success of IGNITE was evident, its achievements lauded across Fiserv. Specifically, numerous solutions enhancements were developed resulting from Product and Technology partnering; a marked increase in collaboration and the exchange of ideas spanning our functional groups occurred; go-to-market efforts were expedited and led to new logos and expanded business. Importantly, attesting to Cheryl’s commitment to promote associate partnering and her desire to heighten associate connectivity with senior leadership, a sustainable communications initiative was mobilized, yielding an unprecedented increase in associate engagement and satisfaction from the prior year.
Cheryl’s dedication to diversity, mentorship, and career advancement in the workplace is evident at Fiserv and in the industry. Under her leadership, in every Investment Services functional group, with her own Senior Team, there is a healthy, impressive prevalence and percentage of women in managerial roles and multi-cultural representation. In early 2016, Cheryl embraced her appointment to the Board of Trustees for MMI’s Gateway to Leadership program and serves as an active, enthusiastic member to encourage placement of minority college students with Financial Services firms.
During summer 2016, as part of a comprehensive and experiential internship, Investment Services at Fiserv welcomed college interns who were offered an opportunity to develop and learn in areas highly relevant to their core majors including technology engineering, marketing, digital analytics, and client experience and relationship management. In fact, her work and advocacy to mentor young, diverse talent led to a request for Cheryl to serve on the board of Envestnet Institute on Campus (EIOC), a developing and expanding program focused on encouraging college students to pursue a career in wealth management that has benefited over 300 students across 10 campuses. It came as no surprise when Cheryl was approached to also head up the EIOC ‘Women in Wealth Management’ initiative as executive lead. She enthusiastically accepted both opportunities and, in true Cheryl fashion, went immediately to work on spreading the word about each program.
As an ardent and frequent contributor of social media and other digital channels, Cheryl widely promotes her support of diversity, parity in the workplace, and the call to mentor and enrich talent through videos, interviews, blogging, press releases. So successful has she been in getting her message out that several professionals, many accomplished industry influencers, have proactively reached out to lend support asking how they can join forces with her. Cheryl Nash is a woman of outstanding character, kindness and integrity…she also happens to be an exceptionally talented and successful professional who has long since shattered that ‘glass ceiling’.
