Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated executive since the beginning of July last year (up to 525 words):

Edna Kerubo is the current Country Commercial Manager at DHL Express Kenya. Edna was able to take over this role in June 2018, from the position of Area Sales Manager.

Her role as a Sales Manager has been to; Build strong commercial plans from DHL’s Focus 2020 Strategy to ensure growth with quality boost, regional/country priorities and market opportunities to aggressively Grow DHL International (TDI) Business, Ensure DHLE Kenya constantly exceeds expectations of customers, specially to the Small & Medium Enterprises and Large Key Accounts, Effectively lead and develop a high performance commercial organization that achieves Great Results without compromising on Respect and Implement simple, effective and efficient incentive programs in line with global & regional programs/guidelines.

Over the period June 2017 to June 2018, Edna has been able to achieve the following as both Country Commercial Manager & Area Sales Manager:

-Edna successfully met self and company sales targets by over 100% between the years 2017 and 2018
-Consistently maintained sales volumes, and revenue by keeping current with supply and demand, and changing market trends
-Increased customer base from 1000 to over 1500 within 8 months by employing strategic sales initiatives
-Trained a total of 17 sales executives and support staff members within a short time span of 6 months
-Retained the company’s top 15 customers in the wake of strict competition, by devising and presenting them with Value-added services
-Successfully brought in new customers from Competition generating at total of Kshs 6M (approx. $60,000)
-Edna’s track record as an Area Sales Manager for a brief period of 8 months led to her promotion to the role of the Country Commercial Manager
-Successfully ran different country commerce campaigns such as : ‘E-Commerce Campaign’ which focuses on creating leads from retail customers whose businessincludesonline selling and shipping of locally made products, the‘ImportsCampaign’ in which Edna led her team to focuson creating and maintaining customer leads from International Import trade lanes including Great Britain, USA and France, and ‘MyDHL+ Campaign’, in which Edna led her team inintroducing DHL’s new simpler and faster shipping platform to the company’s customers.

Edna is a result-driven professional with extensive Customer Services and Relations insights.

Having received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Egerton University in 2007, Edna has managed to adapt to different environments, roles and situations while maintaining effectiveness and productivity.

Having acquired 10 years' experiencein both customer service and sales & marketing has allowed her to identify, understand and give high priority to customer needs, while anticipating and providing solutions to internal and external customers in a helpful and friendly manner.

Her hobbies include travelling, networking and swimming.
