You are about to read a great story on how Reem was the first Saudi girl to win the “Women in Action” DHL Award in 2018, recognizing young successful female entrepreneurs, leaders and their important role in society. DHL as an international organization presents this award In line with the Saudi Arabia 2030 vision in empowering women in the society and workplace.
Within one year after joining DHL, Reem was assigned to manage a female team of 22 certified international customer service specialists, many of which she developed to later take part in higher positions within the organization. Several months later, she lead the team into achieving the international “Center Of Excellence” certification indicating that her team has mastered and demonstrated a high level of competency in managing its operation in Customer Service. Successfully achieving this certification, DHL decided to promote Reem to take on a new challenge in her career, and knowing her passion in E-commerce, she was asked to lead and manage the introduction of the first online shopping service in DHL Saudi Arabia.
She was promoted as E-commerce Online Shopping Product Manager in DHL Saudi Arabia with the main responsibility to grow this sector and lead it to become a major player in the market. She soon became a member of the E-commerce MENA Management Team representing Saudi Arabia and within only 2 month Reem was able to recruit her own team, set up the E-commerce product, with full customer solution.
Her challenge was to promote this product rapidly in the market. This pushed Reem to put together a creative social media marketing strategy that got recognized by the DHL Country Manager & the E-commerce Business Development Manager in United States as an exceptional marketing approach. Reem created an “Influencers Club” where all bloggers are engaged together in promoting this new E-commerce DHL product. With her creative strategy she was able to turn influencers into product ambassadors to promote DHL E-commerce Product. Influencers became Sales Force instead of only bloggers, and commissioned monthly based on sales target.
This marketing strategy allowed this new product to reach over 10 Million followers on Social Media, resulting in a great impact and a revenue growth of 300% within the first quarter. Today Reem and her team handle thousands of loyal customers enjoying a great online shopping experience with DHL
Reem did not stop there, she had the courage to mobilize her team and promote DHL E-commerce Product inside Universities campus and international companies, an uncommon practice in the Saudi Arabia Culture. With her strong leadership Reem was able to sign deals with large corporations, adding to the successful growth of this product.
Because of her great success as a young female, she won the 2018 “Women In Action” Award and was nominated by DHL for the “Employee of The Year” and later invited to attend the “Women in leadership forum” representing young female Saudis. Such recognitions will only be completed with an international prestigious Award such as the Stevie “Female Executive of the Year”. Testifying the great contribution of a young Saudi girl with a strong will to break the patterns and explore new opportunities.

Reem Al-Daghfaq joined the DHL customer service team in 2016. A young female Saudi with passion and dedication to her work, she was soon after assigned to manage the female customer service section. Leading her team in achieving highest standards in DHL the “Center Of Excellence” certification, she was nominated as “Employee of The Year”
Considering her as a valuable assets to the organization, Reem was promoted to the E-commerce Online Shopping Product Manager, where she was trusted to launch and manage the first DHL Online Shopping in Saudi Arabia.
Her success as a Product Manager and revenue growth of 300%, awarded her the DHL “Woman In Action” award in 2018, demonstrating her outstanding performance, innovative marketing approach and holistic understanding of the E-Commerce Product.
