Over the last 12 months, Sarah Lim has achieved ‘rock star’ status on the ClearSlide sales team. With her winning attitude, creative approaches, and tenacity and perseverance, Sarah has been a major contributor to ClearSlide’s rapid customer and revenue growth over the past year—and a passionate advocate of the ClearSlide product. In March 2016, Sarah Lim won a prestigious Stevie® Award for Technology Sales Representative of the Year.
A novice in both SaaS and B2B sales when she first hit the ClearSlide sales floor in 2014, Sarah rapidly excelled in her first year, reaching both Excellence Club and All-Star status by blowing out her quota (115%) and helping ramp newer sales reps. In addition to having a 104% lifetime percent-to-goal ratio, Sarah achieved 115% quota attainment in the past 12 months and was ClearSlide’s top seller (revenue-based) for corporate sales. Based on her performance, she was recently promoted to a mid-market Account Executive – taking on larger responsibilities (and quota).
Sarah is well known across the company for her winning attitude and especially strong skills in building relationships with customers. Recognizing that B2B sales decisions are rarely made by a single decision-maker, she is adept at thoughtful multi-threading—bringing multiple influencers within the customer’s organization into the discussion early in the process. This enables Sarah to gain in-depth knowledge about a customer’s business, culture, processes and even internal politics that may impact the buying decision. These insights allow her to strategically position the ClearSlide product and value proposition to meet the needs of those specific stakeholders in every conversation.
Sarah’s unfailing dedication helps her overcome challenging situations – this was recently put to the test with one very tough customer. After being volleyed around among various contacts, Sarah was able to win the support of an administrative staffer who had promised to help her get time with the decision maker – despite cautioning Sarah that it would be a difficult call. Sarah jumped at the opportunity and the call with the decision maker was, she admits, less than impressive. He relegated her to a new hire who wasn’t even onboard yet—she wouldn’t start for a few weeks—and who didn’t have full decision-making authority.
Undaunted, Sarah reached out to the new hire when she joined the company and true to fashion Sarah quickly converted her into a ClearSlide champion within the company. Backed by this internal support, Sarah was able to drive the deal forward in just a couple of months, despite the initial setback. Sarah’s persistence and belief in the value that the ClearSlide product would bring to the customer paid off.
As she says, “I definitely believe that everything happens for a reason, but it will never be due to my lack of effort.” At ClearSlide, we’ve seen the results of that can-do attitude manifest in tremendous success for both Sarah personally and the rest of her team.

Sarah Lim is an exceptional entrepreneur and business leader with over 9 years of experience in various sales, marketing, and management roles. She has a hunter mentality and consistently overachieves her annual sales and customer adoption objectives. Sarah has grown ClearSlide brand awareness by selling into new customers and opening up new geographic markets and segments. She also helps onboard and train more junior salespeople, and is a mentor for other women across the company. Before joining ClearSlide in 2014, she was the CEO of SoCal AP Events, overseeing a client portfolio of 2,000 business accounts. Sarah has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
