Contending with the prioritization of total cost of ownership (TCO) that reduces fiber deployment and operating costs, Clearfield has been able to compete with business 100 times its size and win spec position in more than 500 of the country's FTTH deployments.

Leading the way for Clearfield is Cheri Beranek - a pioneer, a visionary and a transformative business leader in the telecommunications networking and high-tech growth industries. She is CEO of Clearfield, Inc., a member of Nasdaq’s Russell 2000, which was named by Forbes as one of the top 100 small cap public companies.

Under Cheri’s leadership, Clearfield continues to grow year after year – recording a 17% Compound Annual Growth Rate since its inception in 2008. The company’s strong financial performance and continued growth reflect the strong reputation that Cheri and her team have cultivated within the industry. Clearfield’s most recent fiscal quarter was record-breaking across several key metrics. Revenue increased 22% to $54.2 million for the nine-month period ending June 30, 2016 from $44.6 million during the same period in fiscal 2015. Gross profit was $23.3 million, 43.0% of revenue, for the nine-month period ending June 30, 2016, an increase of 27% from $18.3 million, 41.1% of revenue, during the same period in fiscal 2015.

Revenue for fiscal Q3 grew by 19% year-over-year, reaching its highest quarterly level in the company’s history. Clearfield also experienced record gross profit and near record gross margins.

Before Cheri took over as CEO in 2007, however, it was a different story. The company had capped off years of perpetual losses. Once she was appointed CEO, Cheri discontinued inefficient legacy operations and re-positioned Clearfield for dramatic growth.
