FIS Payments’ Vice President of International Market Development & Enterprise Strategist, Leah Middlebrook, has over 18 years of sales experience. Leah has helped build opportunities for FIS Payments, creating international partnerships and alliances for this revenue-generating division.

Leah began with FIS in 2003 as the VP of Marketing, Product Marketing and Pre-sales. During this time, she received eight executive recognition and commendation letters for client retention. Leah has served in her current role as the VP of International Market Development since 2016. Over the past year, she has made significant strides in FIS’ international corporate sales support efforts. Highlights of her achievements include:

  • Championing messaging for outsourced services sales in lieu of software sales
  • Direct U.S.-based RFP support for high-profile international opportunities
  • Collaborating on innovative sales opportunities in EMEA, North America, LATAM and India
  • Fostering a focus on large-deal activity, increasinghigh-profile deal sizes

In the LATAM and APAC region specifically, Leah has helped facilitate sales training for U.S.-based products, helping improve international team product knowledge to create actionable sales leads. By leading internal discussions to educate the sales and product teams, she has introduced new products into the India and LATAM markets. By presenting the FIS story and product information to key clients, Leah helped guide sales processes while aiding in educating the local markets on U.S. product initiatives.

Another notable achievement was Leah’s role in driving the creation of a card activation program for a large bank in Brazil. Over a six-month period, she coordinated with local sales, finance and product management teams to deliver a longstanding U.S. product reimagined for the Brazilian market. Leah remained not only part of the sales process, but researched the market extensively, determining top market drivers.

Leah embraced the challenge to engage with FIS’ EMEA team head-on, helping increase sales opportunities for Europe’s upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This regulation affects not only EU consumers and businesses, but anyone doing business in Europe. For this reason, Leah took the initiative to educate FIS’ Major International Account team on the GDPR regulation, while helping procure subject matter experts to give presentations regarding these changes to the top 10 banks.

When not assisting in the creation of international sales opportunities, Leah remains active as a volunteer, mentoring young women, and acting as a judge for the International Business Stevie and Women in Business Stevie. Leah is a Junior League of Dallas, Texas graduate and Sustainer. She serves on the Boone Pickens Leadership Institute for Executive Development and the Northwestern State University Alumni Board of Directors. In 2017, Leah won the silver medal for the American Business Awards’ Management Team and was a finalist for the Women in Business Stevie (Management Team) and Women in Payments (Women-Led Management Team).
