I have spearheaded transformative HR innovations at Hamrah-e Aval (MCI), reshaping employee experiences, capability development, and organizational culture to align with a rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape. During this period, my efforts earned MCI multiple Stevie Awards and a nomination for the EX-Awards in Singapore, showcasing our innovative HR practices on global platforms. These accolades underscore my commitment to driving excellence and fostering innovation in HR.
Employee Experience by Design
Recognizing the need for a structured approach to employee engagement, I led the creation of MCI’s Employee Experience Management Framework. This human-centered model integrates design thinking principles to address employee pain points, identified through 50 interviews and mapping 30 critical touchpoints across the employee lifecycle. Our insights led to initiatives like flexible working hours, improved office amenities, and tailored communication strategies. We introduced a refined employee feedback model encompassing 130 interviews and pulse surveys, resulting in actionable solutions that elevated engagement and belonging.
To ensure accountability, I implemented a governance model that defined roles for HR Business Partners, line managers, and the EX-Committee. This collaboration yielded 13 impactful resolutions, including salary adjustments, transparent career progression frameworks, and new well-being policies.
Revolutionizing Training and Development
In response to outdated training needs assessments, I led the overhaul of MCI’s competency-based training framework. This comprehensive approach evaluated both technical and behavioral competencies for over 1,700 employees, linking gaps to targeted learning paths. We curated a catalog of tailored training courses, delivering over 110,000 man-hours of training annually—a record achievement. This initiative was complemented by launching of MCI’s Learning Management System, housing hundreds of courses and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Cultural and Knowledge Transformation
Under my leadership, MCI’s Knowledge Management framework has become a cornerstone of organizational learning. The “MCI Talk” initiative, modeled after TED Talks, empowered employees to share insights through storytelling by a TEDx coach, and gamification. This innovative program enhanced knowledge-sharing by 30% and improved presentation skills organization-wide.
Simultaneously, I championed cultural transformation through “Rasme Hamrahi,” a gamified platform designed for MCI’s Code of Conduct. This eight-stage journey utilized diverse multimedia formats—from animations to podcasts—engaging 557 employees and increasing code awareness by 40% in target departments.
Pioneering Industry Insights
I conceptualized and launched the 2024 Iran HR Ecosystem Report developed through interviews with 90 CHROs and insights from 190 organizations. This report identified key HR challenges, proposed actionable solutions, and introduced six prevalent operating models in Iran. Lauded by global HR thought leaders, Dave Ulrich and Dieter Veldsman, the report’s launch event engaged 200 HR leaders through gamified networking and interactive panels, setting a new standard for collaborative events.
Enhancing Employee Engagement
I spearheaded campaigns like “Yalda Together” and the “Shutter” festival, blending Persian heritage with modern digital tools to foster community and creativity. The Shutter Festival showcased employees’ artistic talents through storytelling and AI-generated illustrations, culminating in a professionally produced magazine documenting organizational culture. These initiatives strengthened organizational identity and boosted employee satisfaction.
