The MCI Employee Experience & Internal Communication team stands at the forefront of innovation in human resource management, continuously redefining how employees engage with their workplace. Through groundbreaking initiatives, we have prioritized a human-centered approach, leveraging creativity, data-driven methodologies, and cutting-edge tools. Our work exemplifies a commitment to elevating employee satisfaction, fostering organizational culture, and embedding strategic values into daily practices.
Our innovative approach lies not only in the projects we execute but also in how we execute them. By combining design thinking, cross-departmental collaboration, and continuous feedback loops, we ensure every initiative is impactful and aligned with MCI's strategic goals. Below, we highlight six projects that illustrate our innovative spirit:
1. Employee Experience by Design
In 2024, we revolutionized our employee engagement strategies with a custom-built Employee Experience Management (EXM) Framework. Unlike generic surveys and metrics, this framework integrates empathy-driven design principles to address specific challenges. By mapping 30 critical employee touchpoints and conducting 130 empathic interviews, we uncovered actionable insights. The results led to impactful initiatives such as flexible working hours and revamped career progression opportunities. Our governance model ensures structured EXM oversight, aligning HR stakeholders and business leaders in co-creating sustainable solutions—a pioneering approach in Iran's HR landscape.
2. MCI’s Employee Team-Building Event
Our annual team-building event took employee engagement to new heights by merging culture, creativity, and wellness. Featuring activities like Persian storytelling, pottery painting, and culinary competitions, the event fostered team cohesion and showcased employee talents. What sets this initiative apart is its data-driven design, evolving annually to reflect employee feedback and emerging needs. The event’s success is evident: an 80% satisfaction rate, a 23% boost in perceived teamwork, and stronger organizational pride. This holistic, continuously improving approach demonstrates our commitment to meaningful engagement.
3. Shutter Festival: A Cultural Innovation
The Shutter Festival introduced an artistic lens to address organizational culture. Employees expressed their perspectives through storytelling, dialogue writing, and AI-generated illustrations. This initiative bridged cultural expression and workplace insights, culminating in the Shutter Magazine. By preserving and showcasing employees’ contributions, we created a lasting cultural artifact. The festival’s interactive, art-driven approach to tackling organizational concerns reflects our unique ability to merge creativity with strategy, setting a benchmark for innovative cultural initiatives.
4. Rasme Hamrahi: Internalizing MCI’s Code of Conduct
Cultural transformation is challenging, yet our Rasme Hamrahi project redefined how organizational values are internalized. Through gamification and multimedia, we engaged employees in an interactive eight-stage journey, resulting in a 40% increase in code of conduct awareness in key departments. By incorporating diverse learning styles and cognitive insights, the program not only enhanced cultural alignment but also cultivated emotional connections to MCI’s values. This innovative method exemplifies how digital tools can drive deep organizational change.
5. Yalda Campaign: Tradition Meets Innovation
Our Yalda Together campaign transformed a cultural celebration into an engagement masterpiece. Incorporating digital tools, immersive decor, and interactive competitions, we blended tradition with modern employee experiences. From stop-motion animations on Persian heritage to Hafez-inspired creative contests, the campaign fostered camaraderie, creativity, and cultural pride. The 72% satisfaction rate and heightened sense of belonging underscore its success as an innovative internal event, balancing organizational goals with employee well-being.
6. The HR Ecosystem of Iran Report & Event
In a first-of-its-kind effort, we published the HR Ecosystem of Iran Report, analyzing HR challenges, operating models, and solutions across industries. This report, praised by global HR leaders like Dave Ulrich, serves as a strategic guide for transforming HR practices in Iran. Drawing from 110 international reports and over 190 local surveys, it identifies six prevalent HR models, actionable solutions, and future priorities. By sparking nationwide dialogue and aligning local practices with global standards, this initiative epitomizes thought leadership and innovation.
