Global Farm, owned by Mr. Ali Ahmed Al Kaabi, is one of the prominent farms in Qatar, covering an area of approximately 125,000 square meters in the Abu Thayla area of Umm Salal. Established in 1961, the farm began its commercial operations around nine years ago, distributing its produce to meet local market needs.

Sustainable Agriculture and Innovation: Global Farm adopts hydroponic systems, considered one of the best farming methods available. This system provides plants with precise nutrients, promoting healthy and fast growth. The farm also utilizes both cooled and uncooled greenhouses, boasting around 120 greenhouses, enabling sustainable, year-round production.

Production and Diversity: The farm produces approximately 1,000 tons annually of various agricultural products, including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplants, and strawberries. It is also one of the few farms in Qatar producing local strawberries, relying on seeds imported from Egypt and the United States.

Community Initiatives: Global Farm offers free consultations to startup farmers in Qatar and has contributed to rehabilitating around 2,000 neglected greenhouses, which has significantly increased local production. Additionally, in 2017, it distributed 30,000 free seedlings to citizens and residents to promote home gardening.

Education and Awareness: The farm hosts school and university visits and offers free workshops and training courses on sustainable farming, aiming to spread knowledge and encourage future generations to engage in agriculture.

International Collaboration: The farm has participated in more than 20 international agricultural exhibitions in countries like Germany, France, and the Netherlands, reflecting its commitment to adopting global best agricultural practices.

Environmental Sustainability: As part of its sustainability efforts, the farm, in collaboration with the Shaibana Association, distributed over 60,000 seedlings of Sidr, Ghaf, and Samar trees to citizens and residents, aiming to encourage gardening and increase green spaces in Qatar.

Through these efforts and initiatives, Global Farm stands as a pioneering model in sustainable agriculture and community contribution in Qatar.
