Inkript is a digital security solutions provider catering to governments, telecom operators, financial institutions, and corporations in the MEA region. The company was established in 1973 as a security printing house and evolved over the years to become an international provider of secure solutions.

The company’s growth is driven by extensive R&D and continuous investment in emerging technologies. In fact, Inkript started investing in R&D facilities and financial capital in 2005, which led to the creation of an in-house secure identification platform and automation software targeting public services. This allowed the company to cater to the growing regional market needs for secure products and solutions, and to be awarded multiple biometric identification projects in Lebanon and Africa whereby it deployed its first e-passport production concession in Central African Republic in 2011. As a result, Inkript produces its own technology in-house rather than importing the technology and customizing it locally.

As the digital security market was growing worldwide, Inkript developed its production facilities to support its efforts in introducing innovative solutions and products to the regional market. It acquired a smartcard manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addition to the facility in Lebanon. With a focus on its knowhow and continuous innovation, Inkript was participating in tenders and winning projects for e-passports, border control, visas, e-vehicle registration, e-driver licenses in Lebanon and Africa.

In 2019, Inkript was ranked as the number one exporter of chip cards in the MEA region by the Nilson report, the most trusted source for news and analysis on the global card and mobile payment industry. It enjoys today a 30,000m2 state-of-the-art production facilities in Lebanon and KSA, technology competence centres, customized integrated solutions, and international certifications covering processes, quality and security.

Specifically, Inkript is certified by regional and international bodies for banking cards’ secure manufacturing in addition to several certifications related to payments and security such as the MasterCard and VISA International certifications for banking cards secure manufacturing, the GSMA Security Accreditation Scheme (SAS) certification for SIM cards manufacturing, Quality Management System certification ISO 9001:2008, certification in Environmental Management ISO 14001, certification in Information Security Management ISO 27001, and MADA cards manufacturing certification by Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).

The company is present in over 75 countries across the MEA region and serves over 100 large corporations and public sector clients. Inkript is the only fully integrated in-house provider of digital security solutions in the region. It enjoys global reach and solid relationships with world-renowned partners.

Particularly, among its achievements in the last few years, the company has been selected in 2020 to provide e-driving licenses and transport certificates in Zambia. In August 2021, Inkript was the first manufacturer of biometric payment cards in the MEA region, in partnership with Zwipe. With the impact of COVID-19 on social practices, digital technologies played a major role in the evolution of these practices, notably distancing and touch limitations. The biometric payment card comes to ensure contactless trusted transactions. It combines the EMV chip technology with a fingerprint reader enabling card holders to switch from PIN codes to fingerprints authentication which makes it impossible for any other person than the owner to use it.

In May 2021, Inkript has been selected as a technical partner and subcontractor for the Management System project by the “Direction Générale des Recettes de Kinshasa” (DGRK) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

As the digital world is constantly expanding, digitally secure tools and solutions are no longer a luxury. Companies, governmental entities, telecom operators and financial institutions are increasingly embracing digital technologies. In this line, Inkript is driving digital transformation in Lebanon and the MEA region by building on its vision and deploying its R&D efforts to predict trends and deliver customized solutions.
