Çelebi Aviation stepped into the aviation industry with the establishment of Çelebi Ground Handling in 1958 as Turkey's first privately-owned ground handling services company. Today, it stands out as one of the most successful examples of integrated services in the Turkish aviation industry, offering the full range of services within the scope of ground handling with more than 13, 000 employees.
In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, Çelebi Aviation Holding of Istanbul won two Gold and one Silver 2020 Stevie Awards for their innovative use of Technology in Human Resources, and in Education and Training Apps and Websites for ÇELEBIFICATION, their new approach to employee recruitment and training.
With more than 13,000 employees from different cultures worldwide, recruitment and training is equally expansive, happening both in locally and internationally. To address the challenge and embrace new technologies in e-learning, Çelebi created their own learning management platform, Çelebi E-School. After producing more than 100 e-learning sessions in 21 different topics, Çelebi incorporated a new gamificiation tool called “ÇELEBIFICATION” for orientation training. With ÇELEBIFICATION, employees can experience the process of their daily work in the apron area which reduces adaption time in aviation as well as to the company culture and their job.
Much more interactive than the traditional orientation process, long-term persistence of the information provided to users rose from %62 to %93. In 2019, Çelebi launched their new branded orientation program in different languages (Turkish, English, Indian, Hungarian, German), creating a standardized orientation process worldwide and new opportunities to use their limited HR manpower in different areas.
