Briefly describe this entry’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 200 words):

Completed in April 2017, Unilever and its digital agency partner Amaze have re-imagined its global network of 47 sites. The re-launch ensures 23+ million visitors can access information easily and feel inspired to take collective action on sustainable living. Catering for all visitors - from consumers to investors to journalists - It needed to be mobile optimized as, for many of them, access via a mobile device is the only option.

Unilever’s Digital Engagement team with support from Amaze, audited and moved 900+ content pages to develop an image-rich ‘mosaic’ magazine-style approach that made content easier to consume. The previously utilitarian design was transformed into a dynamic and easily shareable content showcase. Additional innovations included:

An immersive https://www.unilever.com/sustainable-living/values-and-values/">long-drop takeover page on Unilever.com

Progressive disclosure - revealing content gradually without overwhelming visitors
Using creative design to tell shareable stories Testing smartphone and browser combinations across 92 countries

Year on year, visitor numbers have increased by 16%. 43% of visitors connect via mobile (up from 25%). Independent research by Millward Brown revealed 84% site-positivity among influencers (up from 50%). 43% of consumers confirmed they would be more likely to buy a Unilever product after visiting Unilever.com.
