LLORENTE & CUENCA (LL&C) is the leading reputation management, communication and public affairs consultancy in Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Our team in Europe (Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon) comprises a professional staff of 204, who strive every day to improve society through honest, intelligent, innovative and effective communication. Because we are convinced that this is the best path to follow to generate trust and understanding among individuals, companies and institutions, so as to help them resolve the challenges they face.
For the seventh year running, we topped the turnover and results rankings in Spain drawn up by the Studies and Research division of the communication consultancy Torres & Carrera, in partnership with PR Noticias. We are also the only Spanish communication company ranked in the top 50 of the most important and renowned in the sector: number 44 worldwide in terms of revenues according to Global Agency Business Report 2018 and PRWeek, and placed 49th in the 2018 Global Ranking produced by The Homes Report.
Each year the Spanish magazine El Publicista publishes a report on the sector, analysing the results of Spanish communication, marketing and PR companies at the leading local, national, regional and global festivals in our sphere of operations. This year we headed the ranking for "The leading players in the Spanish advertising industry". We are also placed as Best Independent Agency and Best in Communication and Brand Content in Spain. Our stories, clients and the performance of our professionals make a distinctive contribution in heading up these rankings.
We closed 2017 with global professional revenues of 36.3 million euros, 7.6% higher than in the previous year. The offices in Spain and Portugal (Barcelona, Lisbon and Madrid) increased their business volume by 8%.
In the field of specialist areas, we created new solutions and tools focused on digital transformation, above all linked to the Crisis, Public Affairs and Organisations and Individuals areas.
In the field of crisis communication, we launched SOS Works together with Noysi, and in Public Affairs we designed a new information access model, allowing us to offer the intelligence to come to much more agile decisions in response to the problems that the client brings to us, in the form of the Analys-in app.
We have created a new way of generating employee engagement with People, a tool that allows companies to promote their reputation and employer brand through their professionals.
Our professionals make up the best senior talent on the market. In 2018, the team was joined by: Antonieta Mendoza de López as Vice-President for Advocacy LatAm; Gerard Guiu, as the new Director of international Business Development; Gonzalo Sada, as Senior Advisor specialising in the telecoms sector; and Francisco Hevia, as Senior Director of Corporate Communication.
We added two new Partners to our structure: Iván Pino, Senior Director at the Digital Area, and Tiago Vidal, Managing Director of LLORENTE & CUENCA in Portugal. With these two appointments we now have 20 partners, 11 of them operating in Europe.
Last month the LLORENTE & CUENCA Foundation presented its first Annual Report, 100% designed for Instagram, an innovative, environmentally responsible and socially enriching format. Among the key results presented, we would highlight the 16 projects and 14 initiatives undertaken, involving 256 LLORENTE & CUENCA employees, some 50% of the total workforce. These activities benefited more than 1,000 people directly, and impacted on an audience of over 250,000 people.
