The KBN team is an in-company communications department that represents the South Korea’s No.1 ICT Company, the KT Group, which performs all aspects of KT Group’s in-company broadcasting planning, organizing, production, and transmission operations. Especially, not only KBN installed IPTV broadcasting in 29 KT group offices in Korea, but also internet broadcasting using business PC (Laptop), mobile broadcasting using business smart phone, and is the world’s only in-company communication department with so-called N-screen broadcasting media, which simultaneously operates digital signage broadcasting using LCDs installed on 29 KT group building elevators nationwide and lobby display board.

Leading the world’s first 5G technology and 4? industrial revolution, including the first recognition of customers, creating performance in new markets, complete differentiation based on communication, collaboration, and empowerment of the three major management philosophies of KT Group chairman Hwang Chang-Gyu in 2016, played a major role in spreading the KT, the first in the world, to lead the development of new business, breaking the limits, and spreading the best innovative corporate spirit.

As the year 2017 begins, taking new initiative, based on the new management challenge presented by Chairman Hwang Chang-Gyu, and his philosophy of new challenge, great start, as an innovative ICT company and a true national company to step further, KBN has been expanding role as a communication platform to spread the CEO’s management philosophy, constantly communicating to 60,000 KT employees about enthusiasm, patience, and pride that is required to build higher goal that’s entirely different from past, new perspective, firmness and creativity that asserts the future of KT, unwavering corporate culture only from KT.

As a result of rating and satisfaction survey through electronic questionnaires from in-company KBN Broadcasting review committee, KBN Planning subcommittee and KBN viewers Committee, etc., the KBN is going the most effective internal communication work, with current in-company media integration such as TV + PC + Mobile + LCD etc., achieving average audience rating of 80% and content satisfaction of 88%

On the other hand, the most important feature of the in-company media operated by KBN team is to select media that are easy to access and easy to use, depending on the work environment, such as office TV, business PC (notebook), business smart phone, elevator LCD, viewing, and subscribing 24/7!

KBN is sending out broadcasts for 60,000 employees of KT Group every month / Wednesday / Friday from 8:20 am for 15 minutes. KT Group employees can access the website and watch the broadcast again using VOD service, and view various KT Group news through online news report! In addition, from April 2017, through the IPTV installed in the office, the interactive services are available to viewers!

During the video transmission, the announcement to each department is provided with caption popups before the broadcast, and viewer quizzes are provided after the broadcast as a caption

Recently, KT GiGA Genie, an artificial intelligence (AI) secretary service, has been linked to provide the demonstrative service for the world's first artificial intelligence (AI) TV! This is contributing to B2B sales opportunities for companies in-house broadcasting!

The KBN team is also making efforts to transform from the existing Cost department to the Profit department.

First, team members have multi-player capability for broadcasting production, therefore reduces costs through live broadcasting and recording, publicity film production, and sponsorship of major events attended by the CEO.

In addition, three studios for broadcasting production and transmission are organized, and are making new profits through facility leasing service as an external target. The 160 diverse contents produced by team members are frequently used as in-company training materials, in addition, is also providing data screens to public broadcasters (media companies) to promote the CEO PI and corporate image, and even sells KBN broadcast contents to media channels (kt skylife, Sky TV, olleh TV)
