Online game League of Legends, with over100 million gamers around the world, brings together the excitement of competitive game-based strategy games with the elements of role-playing games. The producer of the game, Riot Games Istanbul hosted the biggesteSportevent in Turkey.

League of Legends is an egame in which every skill level player can play for a very long time, with the ever-changing champions, the frequently updated content and the live tournament environment. To represent our country at the World Finals, within the Champions League 8 teams competed with each other. Turkey’s Grand Final was done on the August 19th, 2017.

The event was organized with under de leadership of Elis and Hey Moments consulting. 2017 was Riot Games Turkey’s 5thyear, the event’s concept was “celebrating 5th year”. Screens, a gigantic competition zone, a better gaming experience to attract viewers into the fiction and experience the final excitement were set up to give the5th anniversarycelebration sensation to the event. The event began with League of Legends’ 5-year history special video mapping show - important moments in the game were drawn into 3D effects with special techniques and moved to the field of activity.

The event venue was Ulker Sports Arena. 15.000 tickets were sold within 24 hours, the number of participants was13.239. Event venue was decorated with 6km led light. A scene with an area of600m2 was set up, opened its doors for the final competition contestants. The live broadcast of the event was made on the LOL TV, from different channels on the internet, the number of instant viewers reached70.000. The competition began with League of Legends Turkey’s5 yearhistory storytelling special video mapping show - consisted a special 5-minute show with 3D effects of stunning moments, champions, new teams entering the league, key moments during the encounter, enthusiastic moments of the fans that happened within the span of these 5 years. 18 projectors, 4 programmable lasers with 20.000 angles were used. More than 1million people watched this special event either through a live broadcast ofTwitchor being in the audience.

Besides being Turkey’s first professionaleSportevent,League of Legends Turkey Grand Final 2017 is beyond an online game who developed creative solutions in the eSports industry with the help of Hey Moments and Elis Companies experiences. The event brought together all participants who were able to meet each other, socialize through not an online event but in a festive mood at the event.

-13.239 people attended
-Grand Final tickets were sold in less than 24 hours and broke Turkey’s record in theeSportfield.
-1907 Fenerbahce Esports Team became on their first year Turkey’s Grand Final Winner who later competed in the Chinese League of Legends World Championship against many worldEsportwinners from Korea to South America, from China to Europe whilerepresenting Turkey.
-It’s now believed that League of Legends is not just a game, but a community festival at the same time.
-More than 1million viewers were reached on the instant, 70,000 total worldwide with the broadcasts made through LoL TV.
