DHL Express in Africa uses its Facebook page to engage informally with the public, to keep the DHL brand top of mind. We measure our success based on interactions and engagement with our community.

Our objective is to reinforce our brand message that 'Nobody knows Africa like DHL' as well as reiteract our brand promise of 'Excellence Simply Delivered'. Our efforts are focused on engaging content creation, with emphasis on video production and rich media

Our most popular content themes are:

- Business (Entrepreneur features, news, quotes, inspiration)
- Sport / Sponsorship (showcasing DHL's sports sponsorships, news, tips & tricks, quotes, trivia)
- Brand (behind the scenes access, CSR, unusual deliveries, brand news)
- Travel / Africa (country facts, travel tips, scenic photography)

At the end of 2017, we closed off on 1 314 195 fans, up 360 000 from the previous year (a 46% increase YOY)

Our total interactions for the period increased by 64%, to 7 858 908
