Over the past year, Zenefits has become an award-winning all-in-one HCM solution. An integral component of Zenefits’ solution is the broad range of best-of-breed third party applications that are seamlessly integrated with native offerings.
On October 18, 2016, Zenefits unveiled the first total app experience for small business HR with sophisticated partner integrations. The inclusion of popular business apps to the Zenefits dashboard helps admins manage functions such as expense and performance management, productivity, stock options, and recruiting along with all other HR operations. Administrators can connect apps directly into their Zenefits dashboard in minutes without need for technical expertise. Because the apps are interconnected within the Zenefits platform, they automatically share relevant data and update whenever entries are changed in the Zenefits apps.
For example, when onboarding a new employee using the hiring workflow in Zenefits, an administrator can check a box to automatically provision third-party applications for the new employee. Leveraging the core HR employee system of record within Zenefits, the apps can access the information they need or ask for additional information directly within the hiring workflows. For example, a stock options app like eShares can automatically access employee contact information, but ask for the number of shares being offered and the preferred vesting schedule; an expense management application like Expensify can leverage the org chart info within Zenefits to automatically set up expense report approval flows. Additionally, things like setting up an employee email address, providing access to collaboration applications or even enrolling in a 401K can be automatically provisioned within the Zenefits hiring flow. Deprovisioning works similarly when an employee leaves the company, using the Zenefits termination workflow.
Another example is productivity. Using a productivity integration such as Slack, employees can directly request (and employers can approve) time-off through a Slack Bot, which will funnel back into the Zenefits HR platform. Such effortless integration creates a comprehensive and usable platform to address all of a company’s HR needs.
The processes and demands facing business owners as they navigate their respective companies’ HR needs are unique and diverse, and Zenefits’ partner integrations are designed to encompass the full scope of entrepreneurs’ HCM needs across verticals. By connecting an ecosystem of third-party applications to the Zenefits platform, the company has paved the way for hundreds more apps to integrate into the future and further break down the complexities of HR for business owners nationwide. Since first launching its partner integration program, Zenefits has added 27 third-party app integrations, with 50 more in development. Nearly 85,000 user accounts have already synced previously disconnected applications though the platform.
