Throughout 2017, USHEALTH Group Inc. continued its remarkable growth trajectory by focusing on off-exchange sales of its ACA-exempt insurance products. USHEALTH Group’s ACA-exempt product portfolio includes an innovative selection of individually underwritten Specified Disease/Sickness plans and Accident Only plans that deliver “first-dollar” benefits and feature unique optional riders allowing customers to increase their scope of coverage without further underwriting, even during a claim.

In a world of expensive ACA-qualified health insurance plans with increasingly higher out-of-pocket costs, the USHEALTH Group family of companies offers its customers something refreshingly different; Affordability and Flexibility. Solving the customer’s “affordability” problem begins with re-thinking how insurance works and it goes far beyond the company’s original innovation, which provided the ability to increase coverage limits within the health plans. While increasing coverage limits within its Specified Disease/Sickness plans and Accident Only plans remains important, USHEALTH Group’s subsidiary insurance companies took “flexibility” to a completely new level. As part of its innovative approach, the company also provides customers the unique option to select a plan rider that allows the purchase of more comprehensive short-term medical coverage at any time of their choosing, with no waiting period and no underwriting, even during claim time. The short-term medical-surgical expense plan is designed to cover the customer’s catastrophic claim need and also serves as the customer’s “bridge” to the purchase of ACA essential health benefits coverage. As you might guess, the customer will generally exercise this one-time option due to a serious illness or accident that results in significant medical claims exceeding the scope of benefits provided by their base level of coverage.
