USANA is known around the world for its mission of providing people with the opportunity to achieve “true health and true wealth”, and that mission begins with USANA’s employees, who are encouraged to improve their health and given numerous opportunities to advance their current and future financial situations. Along with improving the lives of the amazing people who work for USANA, the company prides itself on the incredible charitable contributions it has made to people from the state of Utah, to people all over the world. USANA has also focused their attention heavily on research and development—and the investment paid off big this last year with two huge new launches.

2016 was a banner year for USANA, the company launched not just one, but two scientifically-advanced products lines over the last 12 months. The first was the MySmartFoods line, which focuses on personalization and giving the consumer the necessary macronutrients their body needs through protein shakes and bars. The MySmart line took a new approach to nutrition and gives consumers the option to totally customize their shakes with flavor optimizers and boosters and four different protein bar flavors.

The second launch by USANA in 2016 was perhaps the biggest in company history. At their 2016 International Convention, USANA launched their groundbreaking Science of InCelligence. The Science of InCelligence is a cutting-edge, patent pending technology added to USANA’s supplement formulation that unlocks your cell’s full potential and activates your body’s natural ability to protect and renew itself. InCelligence allows your body to better respond to your unique health needs.

USANA’s flagship charitable organization, the True Health Foundation has done incredible work for people in need all over the world. Over the last year, the True Health Foundation has:

-Raised more than $2.6M through donations.
-Teamed up with corporate partner Women’s Tennis Association to kick off its Aces for Humanity campaign, raising more than $25,000.
-Hosted the fund-raising Champions for Change 5K during USANA’s International Convention. All proceeds were donated to the Foundation and in 2016 the race/event brought in an astonishing $167,113.
-3200 supply boxes—which equals 153,600 meals for those in need—were packed during 2016 convention.
-Provided 6.2 million meals across Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America, Haiti, Nepal and the United States.
-Supplied over $180,000 to support health education programs, food and home construction.
-Gave $738,722 in Usanimals children's multivitamins to orphanages, clinics and mercy networks throughout the world.
-Assisted in relief efforts in Haiti after Hurricane Matthew in October. Through its partnership with International Relief Teams and the Children's Hunger Fund, THF provided $80,000 to assist in relief efforts.
-Took humanitarian trip to Baja, Mexico, where they spent a week serving a poverty-stricken area including an orphanage and the surrounding community.

USANA also continues to contribute to the local community through its long-standing partnership with neighboring Kennedy Junior High school. Within the last 12 months USANA employee volunteers were given leave from work to participate in career mentoring and job fair opportunities at the school, and students were welcomed to USANA’s corporate headquarters to display their artwork and put on musical performances.

Additionally, USANA continued to see exponential growth financially by amazing growth in its product sales. The company recently reported its 14th consecutive year of mind-blowing record sales and earnings. Net sales for 2016 increased by an unbelievable 9.5 percent to a record $1.006 billion—marking the first time USANA has breached the billion-dollar total. This growth was largely driven by sales and Associate growth in the Company’s Asia Pacific region.

For these reasons, USANA has received more than 50 awards for the 2016 calendar year. Along with being recognized as having some of the best dietary supplements and marketing materials in the world, USANA was also awarded for being one of the best places to work in the state, industry, and country.
