OU Innovate is a mobile app that uses new and existing technologies in innovative and personalized ways to improve the student experience at OU. The first three features included are described below.

SafeRide is an OU program that gives students a free cab ride home each weekend. Previously, students picked up a paper voucher during business hours that was only valid for that weekend to use the service. This made it difficult for students who were in an unexpected situation over the weekend to use the service. OU Innovate made the paper voucher process digital. The app also includes the real-time location of the SafeRide Bus.

To help students, faculty, staff, and visitors find parking spots we implemented Smarter Parking. We installed sensors on surface parking lots so users can see in real-time how many spots are available in each lot. Additionally, we will show spaces available in our new parking garage.

The goal of the Campus Rewards feature is to encourage student engagement on campus. When logged into the app, students will be able to claim rewards on campus, such as free and discounted meals, discounts at campus stores, tickets to fine arts events, tickets to athletic events, etc.
