Who are we?
Sterling Staffing Solutions provides health care staffing for five primary disciplines: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work and Skilled Nursing. We currently have nearly 800 contracted clinicians that are working for us in some capacity. We specialize in providing medical staffing services to home health agencies, hospices, and rehab hospitals with our carefully selected top clinicians. In 2017, we expanded our service offering to provide need-specific staffing in the education and corporate industries; moving beyond just healthcare with a focus on providing quality placements that meet any client’s needs.
Company founders and executives, MAJOR (RET) Dr. Sterling L. Carter,DPT, MS, CSCS and SPC Stephen L. Carter, MBA, PMP, have a total combined service of over 26 years in the US Army Reserve and Active Duty. They served multiple war tours to protect our great country including Operation Desert Shield/ Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqui Freedom.
-At the end of January 2016, we held active contracts with 254 clients. In January 2017, we had 354 contracted clients constituting a 36% growth rate in clients’ year over year.
-Annual revenue grew from $50K in 2011 to $3.4M in 2016. We finished the 2017 year at a whopping $4.4M in gross sales constituting a 29% growth rate year over year.
-In 2016, we began staffing skilled nursing services to our clients including Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses & Certified Nursing Assistants. We had gross sales of $32k in 2016 and ended 2017 with $90K in gross sales constituting a 181% growth rate year over year.
-To handle the additional business, we grew from a staff of 549 active employees and contractors in 2016 to 772 employees and contractors in 2017 constituting a 41% growth in staff.
-In 2017, we branched off into the education arena working with local school districts providing services on the administrative side as well as in the classrooms. With contracts with local school districts we managed to bring in $150K in 2017 in this sector.
-Providing quality care to patients is our mission. In 2016 we cared for a monthly average patient census of 618 patients. In 2017, we cared for a monthly average patient census of 773 patients constituting a 25% growth in average patients.
-We increased our foot print with in the hospital industry in 2017 by cultivating a major contract with a national health care system increasing our gross sales by $160K in 2017 alone.
-We developed an innovative medical credential storage and retrieval database that will revolutionize -the healthcare industry.
-Realizing that achieving business growth goals is simple not enough. Sterling Staffing Solutions is investing in the community as well by:
-Providing scholarships/internships to students.
-Hiring new college graduates giving them invaluable entry-level experience.
-Monthly 2017: Bi-weekly mentoring of youth through the 100 BMOH program.
-May 2017: Provided mentorship to youth via the National Lemonade Day
-September 2017: Supported Hurricane Harvey victims by volunteering at shelters and donating to the JJ Watt Relief Fund and the Red Cross.
-October 2017: Volunteered at Habitat for Humanity to build a home
-October 2017: Donated to “Real Men Who Cook” Event focusing on ending hunger.
-November 2017: Volunteered on Thanksgiving Day to serve meals.
-November 2017: Volunteered on a 2-week mission trip to Kenya and Nairobi, Africa.
-December 2017: Christmas Toy Drive for the foster kids in the Houston area.
-December 2017: Volunteered during Christmas feeding Houstonians
Not only have we achieved our 2017 goals, but we did so while maintaining strong professional relationships with our clients.
