Nomination Title: VARUBI® (rolapitant) Just Be website
How often is this web site updated?
The site has had three main states (Now Approved, Now Available, and Just Be campaign) since it launched 4/11/16; there have been 23 minor updates in that time.
Briefly describe this site’s objectives and how it has met those objectives to date (up to 200 words):
Inspired by personal stories of people living with cancer, the “just be” campaign positions VARUBI® (rolapitant) as the brand that helps recipients of chemotherapy “just be” themselves. By helping them avoid the nausea and vomiting that can follow treatment, VARUBI can help patients get through chemotherapy without experiencing these dreaded side effects.
Because chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) tends to be under-reported by patients, reaching as many HCPs as possible is vital. If more patients could be identified as at risk for experiencing delayed CINV, its effect on lives could be minimized. The addition of VARUBI to an antiemetic regimen could allow more people living with cancer to return to their oncologists’ offices with grace and gratitude, as depicted in the faces of the models in the campaign.
VarubiRx.com primarily promotes VARUBI and its indication (delayed CINV); it also helps health-care practitioners identify potential recipients through risk factors.
This campaign is still reaching health-care professionals via print ads that direct readers to VarubiRx.com. The striking, now-recognizable photography has become representative of delayed CINV. After nearly a year, the website continues to see new traffic, amounting to more than 35,000 unique visitors and nearly 63,000 page views.
